thats what i thought too! it sounds like the service behind them is pretty comprehensive, they are designed and built to spec. but so were my kw's for £1300.
i've just spoken to gdi. they are being made by an ex leda engineer, from casings bought from the same place that leda used to buy from. and for a two way adjustable set you are looking at £2300...........
i've got a couple of spare sets knocking about if they are any use? i think a have some extra long ones for spacers too. i think the postage might me a bit steep though!
i've found them to be pretty good, i was getting about 5/6k from a539's or toyos, i've got kumho's now which seem to grip just as well, but are definately wearing a lot better. kumho do make serious competition tyres too.
does running rich dammage the engine? i kow running lean is too hot and definately does damage. but i thought running rich just meant poor economy and unburnt fuel out the back, or is it the cat that is damaged?
i'm sorry to say that the 172 manifold seems to be worth about the same as this post to be honest. i've seen plenty on ebay and no one bids on them. bizarely, the number of written off 182's exactly matches the count of unsold 172 mani's sat in lofts. i've no idea about the cat though, not much...
i think a 4-2-1 gives an increase in torque, a 4-1 gives the best top end power. i'm guessing that wherever renault found 10 bhp it was at the expense of torque and the manifold is to compensate?
i normally find it is only when i drive quietly that people have a go, when i'm pushing on no one seems to bother. my mate has had my car for two weeks while i was on holiday, and passed the comment of how much more people come to have a go at mine compared to his vee!??
