Jon, no that was a 1.6 cvh with 270bhp, the escort fred is talking about is Jamie's own project, 2ltr 16v st170 base engine, expected to have 600bhp. the gearbox is a hewland 6speed sequential gearbox. very trick bit of kit.

get some 1" diameter pipe and put it in the rubber to stop it dropping down.

ben, you need to get the engine dummy built up then check for clearances, then look at machining the pistons if need be to suit the cams, then cc it again to check the static compression. building a decent power engine is alot more involved than people think.

We have started matching peoples own inlets, had a few sets thru the door today which was nice so expect another load to go out the door on thursday. If i was to do another group buy i would deffinatly charge a bigger surcharge and try and get people to send me their standard units.
