..... forgot about this. :clown:
Had to nip to Tesco to get some emergency kecks - the fecker on the door wouldn't let me in the work's do on Saturday night as I was wearing jeans - lol!
Anyways, mad dash into Tesco's and on my return was a 197 parked right alongside me. Plenty of parking...
Had three of us looking at it - scratching our heads. No CS stickers on it, but I'm sure I've seen it before.
Looked convincing - and looked well with the after-market zorst and the Renault Sport door badges. The definite giveaway was the drums on the rear - you almost had us fooled!

..... coming off the M60 and down past the Ford garage. I 'think' I accidently went through a red light following you...... (sorry officer!) :o
You looked a bit lost - were you reading a map???! ;)

I'm not 100% sure of the requirements of an MOT, but surely to god, Reno Manchester would have mentioned something about the state of my front tyres?
The inside tread literally doesn't exist and the rubber itself is straight down to the indicator marks...
It has two weeks since the first...
Ok, here goes:-
182 goes into garage for 2 days
Get a 1.2 Mk3 Clio as a courtesy car
Need to contact my insurance to put the Mk3 Clio reg on my policy for two days.
Need to pay an additional £25?
Why? I've paid the insurance on my 182 and clearly the 1.2 is a less risk car. Why couldn't it...
Just speaking to Ste on the phone when one went past.
He was sure it was petrol blue - not the arctic blue and definitely not racing blue. Spotted near the Nissan garage (Westway Nissan?) approx 20mins ago.

Great weather for it today - but bloody freezing! Still, no doubt that helped maximise the benefit to the turbo'd engines :)
Good mix of cars on track today - in particular one of the RC Evo's and a great sounding Scooby Clinic Impreza.
RC Car...
Does anyone have one fitted? I was looking at the 6400+ Edition - not bad for the price. Though I'm wondering if the clock increase to 3.2Ghz is enough to warrant the upgrade from my current 2.64Ghz?
Then again, if the Black Edition could easily handle 10% stock increase - that would be 3.52Ghz...
I try hard....... like really hard not to delve into the pointless ramblings of manufacturer FAQs on websites. They are usually full of the most pointless and irrelevant questions, that it makes you wonder what amoeba thought them up in the first place.
I'm therefore, pleased to announce that...
Calling all PC techies - any idea what could be causing the blackness in the pic attached? On some levels of COD4 it looked really bad - like I was playing in monochrome. :(
Neither my other two current games of Crysis or Gears of War suffer from it. Neither did the COD4 demo, strangely...
I'm really new to any of this, but have borrowed a Canon MV630i analogue camcorder and want to offload the video to my PC.
I've connected a 4 to 6 pin Firewire-400 cable to it and tried allsorts of options on the camera - but the PC just doesn't pickup on the feed coming to it. I've tried the...
It's got me thinking this. I've made no change to where (or how) I drive in the past month, but I changed the ITG filter back to a virtually new filter the other week.
Typical MPG now has dropped from a midge's under 35 to 33.4. Tiny numbers in their own right, but I fill up once and week and...
.... go on lad - hope you got a proper one out of there! ;)
On the M66 this morning - heading Bury way. I briefly saw it yesterday, but today the traffic meant you were going slower. Plenty of time to put the picking finger to some good use!

Barry Scott would be SO pleased with the results - not that I used Cillit Bang on my car, mind!
It must have been a certain tree I'd parked under. The rest of the car had a few specs which came off with washing - but the bonnet and front wings had a proper coating of the sticky stuff.
After...
Thought I'd get around to a little bit of painting in the engine bay, today......
Not the first to do it, by any means, but it looks a bit better than dull the silver(ish) colour showing through the plastic cover.
I used that Halfords Very High Temp. spray paint (rated to 500C, iirc)...
With the unnaturally clean V6....
Of course, I would say that due to mine being coated in sheit again!
P.S. Didn't mean to cut in front of you either - sorry about that - I thought you were going the Ossy way for some reason.

Rounded up a fair few of the local Vee owners - and two not so local ones (Steve & Shaun! :)) for a few night's stay in Sedbergh. We were crammed into various nooks and crannies - almost like our own Vauxhall advert with the hiding Corsas.... ;)
Before everyone else had...
'03 172 Cup in the lay-by near Tescos....
Tubby red 197, leaving the petrol station where Subway is. We've just got our Quad F (foot-long, fat-ba5tard, Friday) sub now.... ;)

...... I think the reg started 'L5'. It was foggy though and I only spotted you at the last minute.
Would have been 8.10am (ish) this morning. Anyone?

Had an extra interest in this as we have a works sponsored car in it - driven by our MD and another director...
Sealed VAG units - the same for all cars. 150bhp 1.8 20v engines, iirc...
The team in the next bay had a bad idling problem - sounding really lumpy and then...
I don't know what it is - but it's good! :approve:
In the past few weeks, it's had its 36k service. Been fed nothing but Tesco's 99RON juice (about five tankfuls) and the weather has noticably gone cooler.
Maybe a combination of all three have added to the 182's low-down grunt, recently? I was...
Just a general question chaps. Our G5 Mac has no issue at all getting on the internet. However, the software updates option just doesn't seem to to work - it times-out eventually.
I'm wondering if the updates use a specific port that we are currently blocking? Or is it something more obvious...
Mornin! :)
Spotted you on the outside lane of the M6 earlier on. We were sat in that car park of traffic heading southbound. Around Charnock Richard, I think?

After getting the trackday as a Chrissy present last year, today was the day that Jain finally got to use it.
First up in the 197 and then the single seater, all of us in Jain's entourage (lol!) were hoping like mad that the rain held off. It did for the most part, but we did see one spinner...
