UPDATE,
Spent the day trying to get as much done as possiable as i might not be able to work on it next weekend.
So after spraying the steerign rack yesterday i fitted it to the subframe.
You might see on the rack brackets that i had to use paint stripper to get the powdercoat out of...
Oh right good, I dont know if you know but you will have to tac weld the new metal sleves from the polybush kit to the wishbones. So you might want to get that done first then get the wishbones powdercoated, that way they will last longer :)
The seats dont flex at all tbh. Flexs a little right at the top of the seat near my head but not much.
I've sat in a few clios with buckets and mine have deffently been one of the lowest seats/subframes
SPRAYED IT!!! yes i got it done professionally when the cage was done.
Took me days and days to prep the inside and i had help from a mate, but we did have to do the cage which was the biggest pain. So when's your getting painted?
Ha, well the powdercoaters were suppose to mask the threads on the rack brackets but they didnt so i couldnt attach them to the subframe and therefor could put the rack back on. Anyway i threw some paint strippon on them and its all good now, but s*d going outside again
A small update,
So the other day i started to rebuild the subframe and wishbones.
Firstly i had to press the new polybushes into the newly powdercoated wishbones
Then press the metal tube inside the bush, now this was a bit of a ball ache as the powdercoaters had powdercoated the inside...
Depending on the weather tomorrow i'll work on the car. The Manual Steering rack is all complete which i am happy with. So we'll see what happens.
Oh and the car wont be ready for another month or two :( but i'm getting there....slowly.
Thanks for that mate but i bought a VAG one a month or two ago. Think i did an undate a few pages ago :)
I'm had some super super bad luck recently and all will be explained when the matter is sorted.

Cant wait to see it. Does yours have a strange place for the filter too? Right behind the radiator?
Re: Davesrealgood's Arctic Blue Cammed 182
the bonnet looks great. deffo keep it, a new one will cost so much more, how much did you pick this one up for?
Nope it doesnt glow in the dark unfortunatly, but in daylight it is VERY fluresent. Love it :)
Nope i've not gone for a manual rack yet. I'm keeping the standard 182 rack, blocked off the holes on the bit of the rack that sticks out and attaches to the coloum, and then i'm currently trying to...
It cost me £144 to have everything done in that colour, it was slightly more expensive than usual as the parts were all shot blasted, then done in white and then done in yellow so there were more processes than if it was done in a normal colour and not a fluresent colour.
What were you...
Time for an update, I did just type this all out and my laptop just crashed so i’m having to write it again L
So after i had tarted up my engine i then really noticed that the subframe was a right mess and thought about painting it. It was taking ages to degrease and i then decided to just get...
You get the Mk1 dashes on ebay for £12 posted, I put an offer into the guy and got mine for just under £10.
Theres loads of bits to cut out from the inside. Wish i had spent a little more time doing mine now as i sort of rushed it. Also if your using an angle grinder inside the car wear a cap...
