I haven't been driving mine for 2 weeks now and it won't have a new gearbox until the 26th.
It's been great TBH as when I'm not using it, it can't break and cost me more money!! lol
I've been using the Mrs's Corsa and the bike. I'm thinking about making it a permanent thing once it's fixed.
Phone Renault UK and complain and say what the dealer said. It's suppose to be a RenaultSport, how else are you suppose to drive them.
My gearbox has gone, at 40k of motorway driving.
You will get a refurbed one of renault.
Your looking around £400 for a garage to swap the box.
I think mine was around 139.*bhp at the wheels, which came out at to be 169bhp & 170.1bhp at the fly.
I reckon my places just take a guess and make up a graph.
Mine has spent most of it's 40k life on the motorway in fifth, so it's had a easy time.
Thanks for the info Dan.
What sort of turn around are with talking about as i'd have to leave the car with you?
Just been told by Renault I need a new gearbox, due to the knocking noise i'm getting when lifting off the clutch when changing gear.
How much should I be looking at for a replacement box and fitting?
Also where would be the best place to source one from?
Been quoted £1249 + VAT from...
I heard about this from a mate this morning, it looks bad.
He's lucky as that fence wasn't there last year.
I don't think he could handle the other Evo's getting away from him.
Thanks for the advice Edde.
Just been out in it now and it seems to be more of a thud in every gear now with lifting the pedal off, when changing up the box at low speeds.
High speeds seem to be smoother.
It's the same sort of noise & feeling some people get when selecting 1st gear in...
Is the elite really not worth it?
I want to get a 360 within the next few weeks, and I thought the extra £50, wasn't that bad for the HDMI and larger HD.
I still haven't decided though.
Pirelli's are alright, but I haven't had them on the Clio though.
I rate the F1's.
They seem slightly loose when changing direction, but grip very well when corning.
You can't go wrong for £50.
