normally the first one that goes , you need an Oscilloscope to test them properly but if you stick a multimeter in and its running above 1 volt then they are gone.

where abouts has the cable snapped ?
if its snapped at the mechanism is hard you need to get a screw driver in there we do it from under the car and get your arm right up and release it if its snapped some where else you may be able to pull the cable and release it
the a,b,c,d is the numbers on the connector, in true renault style the wires may be a different colour but my 172 ones are that colour. the green wire is part of the fuel system you wont need it because it goes straigh to the standard 172 ECU and is part of the immobiliser solution.

a- injector 1 and 4 ignition coil control (beige wire)
b - injector 2 and 3 ignition coil control (salmon wire)
c fuel pump + (green wire)
d radio interference suppressor and ignition power module (white wire)
what wheels are you running? in the long run better off buying a higher offset rim (2 of them) than spending £50 on proper spacers and bearings and track rod ends every 6 months
If you gonna do it yourself go to the local paint factors they will supply you with a spot on match plus decent primer and laquer for a little more than a generic colour. monaco blue will have about 10 shades
No i blew 2 gearbox's on a pretty much standard 172 engine, there isnt much you can do to make it stronger, i had my third box fully re-built with a quaife gearset and 182 diff, BB and K-tec both have had their turbo 172's running for a while not heard of their boxes going..... i would ask them...
