    Hi-spec 4 pots

I assume the average trackday driver doesn't need adjustable suspension, sticky tires, bucket seats etc aswell, as his driving is so poor that he will never ever improve his tuition to a level where the car is the limiting factor? Arrogance of some self-called Senna jrs is shocking on here imo.

    Hi-spec 4 pots

IIRC Phil only stated the technical advantages of 4-piston calipers over the standard calipers. Then came the tuition gang...

    Hi-spec 4 pots

Technically Phil is right. But tuition seems to make you beat F1 cars in a 60bhp/ton shopping trolley.

    Connecting wires together

A soldered connection is just as good as the person's soldering skills are. Heat shrinked (watersealed) crimp connectors are the way forward! For the joints i would use some automotive spec AMP connectors (econoseal etc.).

    172 overheating

Check the hoses that go to the heater matrix for leaks and have a look around the bay if there are any wet spots.

    ESP?

The rare unicorn semen... ;) imo if ESP kicks in (y0) you were driving too fast.

PAS pump & Alternator removal & clio workshop guide needed

There should be 2 connectors in the fusebox and you can disconnect the remaining wires from the main fuses aswell (take a photo of the fuse's positions for reassembly). Then there should be 2 wires from the alarm system soldered to the loom which you need to cut off.

PAS pump & Alternator removal & clio workshop guide needed

I would keep the loom attached to the engine and disconnect the connections in the fusebox.

    dephaser pulley?

Over revving is not hitting the limiter. Over-revving is forcing the engine to over-rev by selecting the wrong (low) gear. Dephaser pulley has a reason tbh. It's got something to do with emissions and idle but further explanations will be to complicated for you.
