I dont think i've ever seen an error on cd-rom's before like that.
You shouldn't need drivers as such, all my drives just go in, as they are standard ide drives.
I'd say the file that windows supplies, prob something like cdrom.sys is corrupt.
Is your windows a legit version, or one of the...
Got all the Worms Armageddon speech rar'd up, 70mb for the lot, can't find the incoming one with the sound of the plane flying over thou? been a while since i looked through all the files lol
May take a while to upload, but if theres enough demand i'll stick them up for people?
could be, but bloody hell, 15 quid plus 7 delivery.
Not sure how the pins connect up, as its a Bose cable, knowing them , they've crossed over a few of the wires lol.
tempted to just bodge a cable by soldering straight to the PCB, but thats not what I really want to do.
Just getting annoyed...
Just wondering if anyone knows of anywhere apart from some yank shop i found in google that sells G9 cable.
Basically I had a surround sound system, and the cable that goes between the decoder and the sub/amp has gone missing.
I have contacted the company that made the surround sound...
your after a 'workstation' type card, they still sell it today for a moderate price aswell, so it can't be poop :)
Product description
With 32 MB of Double Data Rate (DDR) memory, a 360 MHz primary RAMDAC, and support for dual-RGB, TV output and DVI output, the Millennium G550 is a titan among...
yea thats it :) i'm running the G550 with 1 VGA port and a DVI port, I've got a DVI to VGA adaptor to run 2 17" monitors side by side.
It came in a Dell Precision 530 I got from a chap I know, was used as a CAD machine, good card, just a shame I want a gaming card... wish the precision 530 mobo...
Look at the G550, PC World Business do it for around the £85 mark, and its designed for CAD in mind.
if you look on www.pcwb.com and search G550 in the top right corner, they've actually got exactly what your looking for, in the clearance section :)
What do you class as cheap?
I know the card thats in my PC at the moment has a dual DVI option, and you can also get it in low profile.
Matrox Millennium G550 Dual DVI
About £85 but its more of a CAD type card than your gaming graphics card...
I'm just using it as it came with it, absolutely...
Yea, well I was an installer up until yesterday, when i got sacked...
shite company to work for.
Just play the virgin media card on them, they'll do anything to have your custom, I know alot of customers were getting the sky+ box for £49 and free fitting, should be able to get better than that thou
drill bit about 1meter long? thats usually the longest the engineers carry..
Only had to use the one I had a couple of times.
You should put in a damage claim, one of the engineers i used to work with has got a damage claim for breaking someones hair straightners lol.
Just wondering whats loaded onto peoples K800's, am thinking of de-branding mine soon, as its the rubbish voda branded firmware on mine at present.
Just loaded sonic the hedgehog on mine, its quality, exactly the same levels as the original on the megadrive...
Anyone got any good stuffs...
Yep, 1 RF in from the aerial, 2 RF outs, 1 having 9v power out, used for the magic eyes/tv links
default channel is 68 :)
(wish i could stop thinking of Sly stuff lol)
As Dan says just get the valver brake setup, the drums on the back are perfectly fine as they don't do half as much braking as the fronts.
You can usually pick up the calipers and bolts for around the £40 mark, then just buy pads and discs to suit
If you get a selected number of channels, like bbc1 2 etc, and some channels for example 998 the demo channel says no sat signal, then its the box 99.9% of the time.
Maybe i should charge £50 and try and start up my own business after getting shafted by Sly today lol
You shouldn't need the DNS numbers at all, I'm sure on the PS2 it'll use DHCP instead, which will set that up for you anyway.
Unplug modem power lead, put ethernet cable from modem into ps2, turn on modem, turn on ps2, set up networking (select DHCP, not static IP) and it should sort itself out.
to reset the modem, just unplug the power lead for it, and plug it back in, just makes the modem reboot.
Aslong as the PS2 can do DHCP, you'll be fine (i would've thought it should do)
You will have to do it every time you swap that cable over, unless you subscribe to blueyonders/virgin...
the modem will need resetting, as it only talks to 1 mac at a time, so its basically not listening to anything else other than your PC.
Reset the modem, after you've plugged the cat5 cable into the ps2, then try setting up online play...
You'll have to set the PS2 up to use DHCP, as the...
Guy, torrents are hit and miss, as its all to do with peers, if they have got a slow upload, you'll get a slow download from them.
Things like ftp's and newsgroups should max out your connection, aslong as the other end has a fast connection, and the routing is all ok.
Also some ISPs...
Looking at buying a K800 off of play, on vodafone, just wondering if anyone else has bought one, and if its been locked to their network?
Also anyone know of any way of unlocking it, i.e davinci client?
Cheers
As I stated in the other thread about Sky,
Virgin are lucky as they basically have an easy way of transporting everything (all down the coax), VOD on sky will mean using the telephone line at present time, which is going to be slow, occupy the line etc etc.
Virgin will become a serious...
PMSL me too, bought one of them asda ones.
Had one over a year ago, but didn't play it much so sold it, bought the asda one, did a bit of soldering ;) and i've got about 35-40 games now
