All caps have score marks on them, usually on the tops, as if they do have something wrong, its a weak point for the casing to blow.
I remember a couple of years ago, there was a huge cockup with the solution they use to make the electrolyte inside the capacitor, which caused the caps to blow...
I can't stand sky, and I work for them!!
Think it was very snidey what they did about the whole ring your cable provider to try and get them to keep sky basic channels (I believe they are being investigated for this by OFCOM)
I'll keep with my cable setup :)
Heard on another forum I'm on that they are trialing it with certain people in Preston at the moment.
I can't see it working fully yet, not on current equipment, as I know in my area, the UBR is over-subscribed as it is.
Also been rumours of VM making a 'sin bin' where if your using all your...
Sky are limited in terms of VOD, as the only way the boxes can talk back is via a telephone line, whereas the cable boxes just use the same method as the modems, so they get less latency when pausing etc.
Sky also have to buy transponder space from Astra (the people who send the satellites up...
In your terms and conditions it says they are allowed to make changes to what channels are available at any time, without any prior notice... thats already been discussed on another forum I'm on.
They've secured a few good deals anyway with other companies such as HBO...
At the end of the day its nothing really lost, as all the stuff on there, eg lost, 24 etc can all be found on the net before it even gets broadcast here, and with just about everyone having broadband, theres no need to...
Gone on my cable box, Channel not available.
Fair play to Virgin for not giving in, about time someone stood upto Sky and made them realise they can't totally dominate the market.
To make up for the loss of revenue that cable companies would've paid for, Sky needs roughly 150,000 people to...
wish my mobo supported agp 8x, only goes to 4x, so I'm guessing that would be a huge bottleneck.
Unless someone knows where i can get an agp pro card that'll be good for gaming
(not that agp pro has any advantages over agp 4x, as its just an extention of the agp slot to give more power)
Easier to buy a new keyboard lol.
I used to pull all the keys off and leave them in soapy water overnight, then wipe them in the morning. used to be fun trying to remember where keys went
your D Drive is prob a rescue partition, alot of laptop manufacturers set them up like it... my sharp laptop has 10gig just for the rescue partition, just use partition magic to get rid, then increase your C drive to full :)
for the keyboard go into control panel, regional settings, then the middle tab "languages" then click the details button.
Add United Kingdom keyboard, and remove US keyboard layout, it'll then moan about not being able to uninstall the US keyboard straight away, remove it again, then click...
When i got my gfx card in my rig, I was reading about and some gfx cards don't support different resolutions on each output.
Mines a Matrox G550 (hardly a gaming card, on the lookout for a cheap agp card to replace it) and supports it...
My dad has got a 'proper' charger, its brilliant, rescued a couple of old batteries that I thought were buggered.
He uses it on his bike, plugs it in every day when he gets home from work, then takes it off before driving away (obviously)
Its mainly for bike batteries, but does car ones just...
lol, we had pikeys living a few doors down, and theres a known car thief 'gang' accross the road, who used to sniff about my car, and caught once trying to nick my exhaust system... he'd jacked the car up so he could get underneath ,and had undone all the bolts underneath the car, luckily we...
My dad has always been in with the whole cctv thing, ever since black and white domestic units ever came out.
He's now running 3 X10 Wireless colour cameras, with 1 having full directional scan, all controlled by remote.
you'll find many different systems, but I think you can get a colour...
I got pissed off at that email, and decided to send one back just cos I was annoyed at the time...
Just received a lovely automated responce?!
Idiots lol
lol, well its for a project i've got for today, but i can't see maplins having anything like it, so superglue and either saliva or a bit of water will have to do :)
Hi, I've got some soldering to do later, and need to get ahold of some adhesive that glues wires to the board.
I used to have some that is like sugerglue, but you use an activator to make it set.
Have searched the maplins site, but not found anything...
Might have to use double sided...
Thats only your first initial confirmation... read down the email and it says...
"Please note that all orders are subject to stock availability. We will
email you again when your order is confirmed."
Don't think its going to come through, I'll expect an email soon saying its been cancelled...
They've pulled it off the site you can only get to it from the direct link

Tyson-182's mate has said its legit and orders have gone out...
Heres hoping :D
Feel sorry for the people, like me who live in places where its prohibited to put a dish on the property... telewest have already multi-dropped the flats where I'm in, and the landlord doesn't want a dish stuck on the side... yet a fuckload of cable going everywhere is ok... go figure...
Don't...
