Ive currently got my Tv connected via VGA along side my monitor both plugged into an ATI x800....Im trying to clone my main monitor on the Tv...the problem is though it that they both run at different resolutions

The monitor is 1280 x 1024 whilst the Tv's maximum res is 1024 x 768

Is there any software out there that will allow me to clone my main monitor with my Tv but have them both running different resolutions?

Thanks

You should just be able to do it in display properties...i know i can in Windows XP Pro Media

Ive tried this mate.....but i can only find an option to extend the desktop not clone it.

I know its possible to clone with different resolutions on a NVIDiA card but cant find anything with Ati control panel.

Can you not;

Right Click>Graphics Options>Out Puts>

In there you should have options such as Monitor, Monitor & TV, TV, Extended.

I pressume they're both plugged in by VGA connections are they or is 1 DVI ?

yeath both plugged into VGA

well the card has 1 VGA 1 DVI so im using a dvi to VGA converter with that so they are both on VGA

When i got my gfx card in my rig, I was reading about and some gfx cards don't support different resolutions on each output.

Mines a Matrox G550 (hardly a gaming card, on the lookout for a cheap agp card to replace it) and supports it...

Mine is only an intel duo core built in gfx card on my laptop but works wonders!
