Yes, you're absolutely right, the 182 is faster, but the williams is faster. I wonder tho, how both of them would compare to the Civic Type-R??
Anyone knows, maybe? ;)
I am sorry, but a couple of home made videos can hardly be labeled as hard proof. There is at least a 2 second difference between the two cars up to 100 and there are numerous mag reviews and tests to back it up. End of.
And belive me, i am not trying to put down the 6. I love the car and i...
Oh, bu-hu-hu, so you got blasted by another car. Big deal. You may find this shocking, but clios are not the fastest cars on the road, in fact, there is a great deal of faster cars out there.
But a standard GTI-6 isn't one of them. ;)
Re: lol... non RS clios heaps of sh*t!
I've owned an mk1 1.2RN and an mk2 1.6 dynamique before my RS and i loved them both.
But after test driving an RS, i just had to have it and an ordinary clio never felt the same.
Yes, the Focus ST is a better and faster car. Therefore, your mate is better and smarter then you. Simple as that.
So, now that this issue is clarified, can someone please lock this boring thread? Thank you.
TG is good fun, but those track times are pretty much irrelevant. It's not even a proper track, it's an old airfield strip with a few tire stacks and some white lines.
The EK9 are sub-6 to 60, but afer that they're not all that hot, they do a 1/4 mile in the mid 15's and hit the ton in 'round 17s.
I'd pick an intergra over ek9 anyday.
no need for a scan, you can just post 0-100-0 times for the cars in the review...thanks a bundle :)
but i'd still like to get the leon/172/206gti comparison...anyone?
I am looking for a 0-100-0 test, can't remember what mag did it, they tested the mk1 172, leon sport and 206 gti.
As i recall it used to be in cliosport.net's articles section, but now it's off-limit to non-members. :(
I agree about the suspension, but i found very little difference in terms of handling in the snow between my old 1.2, which was a boat and my RS which has a rock-hard suspension setup. I'am convinced there is a difference though, but would more likely be shown on a snowed track rather then in...
I just pull out the ABS fuse.
The fuse box is located behind drivers door. This is how it looks like, it's not a clio's fuse box, but you get the picture.

Why should the Cup handle any different in snow then any other FWD car?
There are loads of car without the TC out there and most of them have no problem with driving in snow, as for the ABS, in snow, it's actually a disadvantage. I usually disable the ABS when driving in snow.
The most...
I am definitely not a fan of the new shape, but the black one looks really good IMO, subtly aggresive.
But the thing is, one of the things i always liked best in the clio was that it was a true sleeper, especially the mk1 172, the rear end being practically indistinguishable from the ordinary...
I used to own an mk1 1.2 RN, it had only 11k on the clock when i got it and it was a really pleasent ride, a perfect car for a beginner, it was comfortable, handling was ace (for that kind of car, of course), great economy (obviously), practicaly no maintnence costs, very reliable...to sum it...
The CTR has a better engine, there is no question of that. As for the handling, i would say it's not really better than the clio's, but different. It's all down to one's personal preferences.
