Having sold Renaults and been responsible for gently running in the demonstrators which we get given as company cars, I would definately suggest getting the new one!! Ex-Demo cars are *always* thrashed - Its an honest fact!!

My dealer fitted a new clutch under warranty at about 2,500 miles. They gave me the same little talk about driving it too hard but I showed them the promotional material I was given about how it was built to cope for trackday etc... Since then theyve changed the ECU and the gearbox as well!!!

I wasnt particularly taken with the Toyos that my cup has been wearing recently... Having said that, they have lasted as long as my Contis did, which I wasnt expecting!! Now that they need changing Ill definatly be splashing out the extra for the Eagle F1s...

I replaced my virtually slick contis at about 6k miles... Cant remember how much Renault wanted for new ones but ended up buying some Toyos instead for about 50 a corner I think...

My poor little cup is in for its 12k service (and a few other bits and pieces of course ;)). The dealer has just called to say my front pads are worn which is no surprise whatsoever. The decision is whether to let them replace them for £90 or get some non- Renault decent pads and get some...

Dont they start at 7mm thus meaning youve used 3mm and 1.6mm (I think ??!??) is the legal limit so 12000\3 = 4000 miles per mm * 2.4mm = 9,600 miles... The theory is right but I dont know if the figures are!!
