"cos these things can be a money pit"
Tell me about it. I got over 8k of receipts for mine, and thats not including the 11k I paid for the car in 1999.
Depends what subs you want to put in it. The sub should have some info about the recommended cubic capacity the box needs to be. Whether it should be ported, sealed etc.
Cheers Paul. Ill take some on my phone and email then on to the site. You after a picture of the engine bay and the boot? If so then the boot is out of the question as my box fills the entire boot.
Cheers

Im running 4 amps. Rockford 60 punch, Alpine MRV-T301 (or something), running two lots of components (speakers about 160w each).
The other two amps are Power acoustic A3000DB Digital monoblock amps (160amps peak current consumption each). They run two MOFO-12s rated at 2400w a piece...
Hi
Any one on here have one, and if so do you think they are any good. My problem is that I have managed to kill my Optima DC yellow top battery, and I am considering a bigger alternator, and possibly a power cap. Not sure what size to get 1.0 , 2.0, 3.0 Farad? Also, which alternator would...

Some insurers will give you a discount on the second car policy (if you are an existing customer), and will give you a renewal quote in a years time equivalent to the ncb you have on the first vehicle. You can also get it cheaper by insuring both vehicles with the same insurer (so they get...
Ive got a policy with admiral. Ive been with them for four years. I pay £470 f/comp with the missus to drive. Full ncb, protected etc. I went to elephant when my renewal was due, and they were cheaper than admiral. One phone call later, and admiral gave me a better quote. Strange but true.
Get a nice set of components if you can. Between £100-200 should see you with a pretty decent set. Most people would probably say you would be better off with components in the front and a sub in the rear, and bin the 6x9s, but if you are not mad about bass, then 6x9s will do fine.
I did hear that renault were going for the purists driving experience, and decided not to have ABS and the like on the original willies, so maybe they decided that electric mirrors were another necessity that wasnt in keeping with what they were trying to achieve at the time? Good job the...
