my Saxo had an alarm when the stuff was nicked, ve got a Toad Ai606 on the Clio, but even that had its window smashed but there was nothing to take!. As far as Bristol goes (car crime capital of the UK) it doesnt mean jack if youve got an alarm!.
problem with delocking is they have a habit of stabbing their screwdriver in the middle of your door! of course, being the fish-minded t***s that they are, they dont realise new cars dont possess locking bars but use cables hidden away. (check inside the door of the clio, its a work of art!!)
thats a good idea. Is it that film that you put on the windows? and if so, where can i get it and how much does it cost? The other thing I noticed while having to put in a new window after someone smashed it is that on the new clio there is some sort of protective plate around the door lock to...
The parcel shelf if im correct cannot be removed if the seats are in normal position and the boot is closed? Other than that, how can you secure a CD changer so it cant be stolen!! any1 got any ideas? I was going to make a welded steel case and put the changer inside, screw the changer in, and...
Anyone know a good way of stopping people getting into the boot via the back seats? only I had an expensive sub knicked via. this method in my Saxo, so when I get some more stuff I dont want it to happen again. Is there a way of disconnecting the seat open button things?
I am looking to purchase quite a powerful Pioneer Amp, does anybody know how powerful you can go before the alternator cannot handle the wattage and you need a in-line capacitor?
ill put the rattling down to the "plastic fantastic" approach to the back of the clio. my old saxo used to have the same problem, the boot flooring even used to rattle on that baby.
stacks of that insulation (EXPENSIVE!!!) is probably the only way to solve that.
nothing like good vibrations, unless it happens to be coming from the speaker setup!! with the "pants" standard speakers you tend to get loads of noise coming from the rear, the front seems fine. with the new speakers in they are loud enough to cover any noise and if you secure them in correctly...
yes, the speakers went in both front and back, and i screwed them straight in, as the plastic frame looked fairly solid. sound is "greatly" improved as the magnets on the speakers are huge for the speakers size. The plastic and seats in the rear of the car are an offputting thought when you have...
got my toad fitted in october, no problems, nice bit of kit. You get what you pay for. Its cheaper than the similar clifford version and works better as it doesnt have that dodgy sensor that clifford use. Toad still uses the tried and tested ultra-sonics.
My mate had a clifford, did nothing but...
thought so, as the little grille type things look dangerously fragile on the top. I bet taking the dash out is a nightmare and takes a whole day, still, if it has to be done....
Am i right in thinking tweeters only have one size and new ones would fit straight in?
got a toad ai606 and its the biz. got it fitted the moment i bought my clio in october, the guy didnt have details on how to fit it as there wasnt a manufacturers guide. he phoned up renault and they recommended that he didnt fit an alarm as they dont work with the new clio (absolute crap). So...
