My question even though I wont get an answer is, how old are you?
Is there not time to maybe get some more manual practice in and get your manual liscence?
Im not knocking autos, new ones can can be better than manuals but an auto Clio (prob designed over 14 years ago) would seriously hinder...
Tape something over it like a bin bag as jame says.
Then when its dryer even all the screws out in if need be put some silicone sealer on it.
As above by tightening it you prob cracked an old dried seal.
If you could afford a cup why dont you set your sights a little higher and go for some real power. Join the 200+ bhp club abd get a Cossie or go Jap.

Not saying its impossible, just curious as to why the only mod mentioned is an airbox.
It would cost a heck of alot of money to go from 225bhp to 380bhp on a n/a engine.
Not to mention there another engine with 330bhp.

16v - have to change just before I hit 60 and alot of other people have said the same. Thats why a chip to 7.5k limit is a good thing for 0.60 times.
Speedo doesnt work in the MR2 - dont even wanna think about what speed that does in 2nd!

I use BP Ultimate, but thats cause mine should be run on 106ron!!

Renault prob quote that because its cleaner and more efficient. Its not a turbo so I see no problems using it.
I think Shell Optimax is the only 98ron you can get - I know Ultimate is 97ron

Got a Jap MR2 the other day and the radio only goes up to 89.9!!
All the displays and writing are English though!
Theyll prob measure it at the fly not at the wheels. Then theyll give you an estimed atw figure.
I reckon youll see about 175 bhp at the fly and between 140 - 150 at the wheels.
