I hope the thief died horribly.
My mates Corsa was stolen a few years back, I saw it parked up and went strait to the police station and told them the new plate that was on it. I told them where it was parked.
Did they send a car - no - I went back to find out if the shop (Elite) had taken...
I think what that quote means is exactly what I said - cameras only make one descision.
They cant see some one swerving over the road unles theyre speeding and even so theyll only get 3 points and a fine through the post. If some one had been there to stop them then they would have been in...
Still think a caution would surfice the first few times instead of a very hefty fine and a criminal record.
Especially as for 2 years your living on a knife edge.
Feel sorry for Blackcats bro though, what makes matters worse is that the police arent doing anything yet if he took matters in to his own hands he WOULD get sent down.
I actually feel the British motorist is frowned apon by our government.
We are persecuted for doing something at once made this country great - enthuse about cars and or bikes.
The next step I hear is to lose road tax and fuel tax and charge by the mile.
Might make the dum ones think great...
DFN04 XZE - Do you ever speed - not even a few miles an hour?
Possibly to over take some one on a dual carriage way.
No one can say theyve never sped. Even taking into consideration that any car over say 7 years old prob isnt reading right on the speedo!
[Edited by Matt16v on 22 July...
Dont be daft - they want people to get caught, if they REALLY wanted to reduce speed they would put more speed humps and other restricting devices in place. Where I live there are NO cameras in residential (built up any way) areas. They are ALL on long strait roads where people have enough time...
I say more resonable police men should be put out to decide whos driving dangerously and whos strayed over the limit in a safe situation.
Id rather be pulled over and warned a few times a month than flashed and fined ever!
A person can make descisions a camera cant.
I think they are too vigilant on speeding and too weak on bigger crimes like theft and public disorder crimes. Some people are a menace to society from the minute they wake up yet walk around with not a care in the world.
The reason is far too obvious - income.
I see no reason why any one...
I dont know if I want my local ICE dealer to fit it, not sure of the quality of their work.
Theres a couple of older guys that are exceptionally good but some young blokes that look like their on work experience. Also knew of a known thief working there a few years ago.
Yeah, what a pain in the back side though eh, specially as I was ready to sell it. On the bright side a mates doing it and Ill owe him a favour as aposed to a huge labour charge!
Checked everything else and it all works so it can only be the pump.
Or you could have mine, for £2,400. Williams blue (449) with 17s, s/s exhaust and de-cat, lowered, IK, colour coded strips, door handles, willy spoiler, full ICE system, clifford concept 500 cat1 alarm. Clear repeaters, magnecor leads. RR at genuine 136.5 bhp at BB tuning - regarded as very...
I think you should seriously enquire as to why your being charged £80.
I was doing more than 40mph in a 30mph zone when I got flashed by a fixed camera. £60 fine as per the norm.
Im guessing if its got cams the power will be a little further up the rev range. Hence a slightly slower start (prob minimal) then a surge to take it past the 172s.
I see loads of them - more than I see 16vs and Williams.
Problem these days with new cars is finance - any one can get one, most people want a new car than a used one so theres loads of them.
Right,
Getting myself an MR2 Turbo within the next few days and a friend of mine has a fully working Clifford Concept 600 alarm which hes selling to me for £100.
Does any one know of any one that can come out and fit it in the Essex area? I want it aproved as well so it keeps its Cat1...
Yeah right !!
Only reason a 5 would be sat in a garage is cause the head gasket went due to some boost junkie cranking it up!
Better off restoring one mate.
Prob some sh/t head yoof came out of a pub drunk and thought hed be clever.
Was it parked any where near a boozer?
Short of that do you have issues with young chavs causing agro in your area?
Pull it off and take it apart - should be able to tell then what it is. The mans solution to every problem!!
If not see what doesnt happen any more once its gone then you can tell!!
I was 18 with an accident against me and no no-claims and paid £1,700 fully comp when I had my RT.
My mate now has that car and his missus has a phase 3 1.2 - she likes driving my old RT more though said its less effort.
I didnt think the insurance was hardly any different for the 1.2 - 1.4...
