Was it just the SERV light or did the airbag light come on as well? if it did it'll be down to the open circuits under the seat, if the light comes on again try moving those wires under your seat a move about.
That's what I've done so far, upper engine mount, then uprated the dogbone mount and I plan to do the upper gearbox mount soon. Upper engine mount is the most expensive out of the 3 though.
Yeah it set me back over £300ish, can't remember the exact price. Thing is it needs to go to Renault because it needs coding to the car. I had to get mine replaced because I had a right indicator that would never cancel until I indicated left but as soon as the stalk flicked back to the centre...
Lol. It's the module that controls the electrics. I didn't know what it was either a while ago :o saying that though when I rang Renault Manchester up about it, they didn't have a clue what I was talking about either lol.
Since I bought the car 8 months ago really, at 1st I just thought it was me due to poor clutch work/getting use to clutch. My other Cup use to do it as well but that one definitely had a worn dogbone mount.
The only thing you can do is either change up earlier or try and make the gear change...
Mine does the exact same thing at the same RPM. I uprated the mounts in the dogbone mount and it helped it a bit although it didn't completely eliminate it.

Sorry, I was forgetting yours was a ph-1. That's what your lower engine mount (dogbone mount) will look like.

3 of the mounts are there, if you scan through the pictures it says which mount is which.

That's the lower engine mount (dogbone mount) but with uprated bushes.
There's 4 in total but the lower gearbox mount isn't normally a problem, not heard of them being replaced frequently anyway.
It's the upper and lower engine mounts and the upper gearbox mount that are normally the trouble causers.
170k? Does that now hold the record for the highest mileage 1*2 on here now? lol
I personally wouldn't buy it because that kind of mileage would scare me.
As mentioned above, you're probably best replacing all 3 of them (upper and lower engine mounts and upper gearbox mount). Also check the exhaust mounts, my centre exhaust mount was shagged and that caused knocking as well.
Lol. Well they come on now and then due to the open circuits under the seats but with the decat fitted my car was insanely loud and it vibrated the interior so I think it was shaking those circuits as well causing the lights to come on.
I think Renault bodged most of their cars when they built...
It could be any of them to be honest, does the gearstick shake around alot when you accelerating hard? if so that'll be the lower engine mount (dogbone mount).
When I had alot of knocking on hard acceleration it was my upper engine mount, that's the one you can see straight away on the drivers...
K-tec sell a hand held device that can switch the light off, other than that I've of people removing the 2nd lamba sensor, taping the end up and shoving it up in to the car out of the way. Or you could try disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes and reconnecting it.
The last time I fiddled around with the head unit and the panel above it with the rear window heater/inside lock/hazard light buttons on it, my "Oil Ok" message disappeared for a few days but then it came back again :S Very strange!
Not sure as the previous owner fitted them too. I've had the car 8months so they've been in at least that long. There's plenty of meat on the pads though.
Wouldn't it do it all the time during hard braking though? Suppose it's a possibility as the car does stop well enough, when the noise starts it doesn't inspire confidence lol.
They're uprated discs as well, drilled discs but not sure what make they are because the previous owner fitted them.
and that was a cheeky delete Daz :rasp:;) haha!
Normal to heavy breaking at low-medium speeds there doesn't seem to be any issues, car stops well, although after prolonged braking the brakes do start to fade due to the crappy green stuff pads.
The issue is braking from high speeds, I get a loud grating/scraping sound which is a little...
