measure it from the disc to the hub before pulling the bars out, then when jacking it up measure agian from disc to hub to see the diffence, i did my valver today,
i have some valver dials with white face's, absolute nightmare, managed to eventualy get them done playing around with the needles but the petrol one is still reading 3/4 when the full is asically empty and the rev gage isnt 100% straight, everthing else works though..
yep, you are correct... and it seems you can only buy them with the pipework and with 2 trumpet bits, maybe there will be somone somewhere willing to give up thier second trumpet piece?
haha, just like everyone else when i saw the pictures i was thikning "oh no not another mullins" but your replys much more intelligent and the kit your going for is more origanol and doesnt have that horrible smile, will look nice when its done.
manifold hitting dogbone? mmm, how do i check this? just been out and it isnt the wheel nuts, it also only seems to happen in first gear which is wierd, i just had a wheel bearing done, so im hoping that one of the bolts is just lose, the knock seems pretty noticable through the gear stick...
what is this? on a valver.. it may be the wheel nuts though im pretty sure thier tight, am i right in thinking its going to be one of the engine mounts? its very slight and barely notciable, but i know its there.
what oil should i use? im gonna change it next week, hopefully it will solve the noise listneing today im pretty sure its the tappets, gonna see rhino later so he can listen and see if it sounds like his did before oil change
ok, im going to order a distabutor cap and rotor+ht leads+ plugs and oil this week and do it all... hopefully that will help.... my dad thinks its just because it sa bigger more powerfull engine than the 1200..
mehr i knew that would come up... i was just showing that you can get valvers around the 1k mark.. all the stuff on mine is done, except the noisy engine... the cost of buying my valver and fixing the faults so far has cost me 1030...
nah, not realy, when i was looking for mine i set a limit of 1500 and ic ame across many for 1k or less i found a naples for just 750 66000 miles, but i dont realy like the colour so held out.. then i came across the one i bought was up for 1500 on ebay buyitnow i went and saw it the guy said he...
rhino, might seem silly but is it possible to meet you and compare engine noise... i wont be happy with myself until i know nothings wrong.. it may be the oil as the previous owner wasnt very knowligable and had 2 diffrent oil bottles in the boot... if you could listen and tell me if its similar...
no it doesnt, its not an induction sound, just a noisy sound, like diesel, ive been told it might be distributor cap? someone said it might be bottom end? :(
my valver engine is pretty loud im not sure if this is just because i am not use to it (coming from a 1.2) but im sure it seems overly loud sometimes even sounds like a diesel, anyone have any ideas as to what this is? and how i can check?
i was going to buy this car for 1200 but got a valver instead, 20psi on standard interenals? BANG! he has the normal lights by the way, first thing i asked ;) the cars been on ebay a few times
