I wish my balls were bigger for turn 1...I didn't like the wind or my stored-in-a-shed-for-the-last-18-months A048 tyres...they were, ummmm, interesting.
I'll be having some new 888s from you soon Mat I think.
I don't normally do the camera/random car thing, but I laughed out loud as I pulled up next to this...
Up close the detailed finish was, err, interesting.
Including the mighty Modus!
I've got the Cup on F1s now and back up to 205 tyres from the horrendous 185s I've been running over the winter.
Not too much trouble steering now I've got a bigger wheel, and the grip increase is huge.
Anyway, they were all looking (fairly) clean so I thought...
Finally, I know for sure. I got around to weighing the last of what's been stripped today after Rentech Mike had his hands on it again, very pleased with the result...
The first stage (done ages ago) consisted of taking out the carpets, sound proofing, all interior trim except dash and roof...
Two on the left match, as do the two on the right.
The ones on the right look a bit more heavy duty...would those ones have come from the rear?
Need to know as I'm just about to drop the whole setup from my Cup into our Modus.
Thanks.
1, 2, 3, 4. What's it all about?
Genuine question from a cleaning noob here...hand washed 2 cars on Sunday and enjoyed every minute of it for the first time ever :S
Amazing what an extra inch can do for you...
Before...way too small
After...just right it seems
The difference it's made to the steering is HUGE...I got back after a thrash earlier, and I didn't have shoulders like Arnie :approve: And before anyone says, the colours are not my...
Seems like it's slightly 'stuck' sometimes, still disengages, but it's like it's blu-tac'd in gear if that makes any sense?
Had a new clutch recently, and that took a while to bed in, but performs fine now. Gave it a thourough test at Bedford and all seemed fine.
So is the sticky gear-lever...
Obviously give the screen a good clean first.
The brief instructions that came with it say apply the sticky surface of said t**t strip to a wet windscreen? Is that right or will a major FAIL follow?
Seen over on xbox.com that there's quite a few video card failures.
Mine's out of its 3 year warranty as of end of 2007, and I finally get some time to properly start on GTA, fire it up and it gives plenty of sound, but no image...just lots of tiny little white dots.
Anyone know if this is...
Slightly damp, very old tyres and was, ahem, a little loose - so I get on my knees and thank the god of run-off.
Pretty much everyone gets a look in on this one, quite happy with it.

Well, killed is a strong word, so maybe annihilated would be better :rasp:
Love the manual rack, covered almost 300 miles on it and it's much more manageable now I've gotten used to it.
New brakes make a f***ing racket, clanking and rattling in the calipers, and squealing like nothing I've...
F***ing brilliant!
I was hoping some kind of an improvement, but the feel I'm now getting through the wheel is sublime.
As the tyres just push past their limit and into understeer, it feels like I've got a chunk of tyre rubber in each hand and I can feel it slipping and tearing across the...
What do we reckon?
I've heard 2-3 bhp, and also someone claiming 8-10 bhp.
I'm going to get my car on the rollers soon to see for sure...any predicitons?
I spent today at Rentech annoying Mike and Dave while they did this...
First things first, out with the driver's seat
Bucket of lard
Brackets fabricated
Bucket of lovliness
On with the wheel, boss and spacer
It's a bit of a reach to the stalks LOL
New front brakes ready for...
Or maybe not.
I definitely feel it, and I filmed it in action earlier, but it's hard to pick up from the video.
Each gear, from tickover to limiter where the runway was long enough...

Got it all happening on Friday, Mike at Rentech is fitting;
Cobra Imola 2 bucket seat
Steel (boooooo) sidemounts
3-point harness
New front discs (thicker)
OMP 300mm wheel
Lightweight alloy 60mm steering wheel spacer
Which means he's removing;
Standard steering wheel + airbag
Standard...
I've been running PF97 pads over the winter, and the car's not had a proper wash for weeks.
Stuck it through a carwash today, and the sides of the car remain covered in brake dust.
Fred - you've got some miracle cure for this?
How does that work then?
I've got a 3-point harness, adjustable sholder straps as normal, but with no adjustment, at all, on the lap belts.
Do I have to get adjustable lap belt mounting points? Do they even exist? Have I bought a dud?
I'm aching all over from boarding the loft this weekend, and while the attic contents were down, I weighed everything taken out of my Cup.
The only original trim that remains in the car is the dashboard, headlining, sun visors etc. and two seats. Door cards, carpet, boot and rear trim has all...
Take your parcel shelf out and pop it on your bathroom scales? What does it weigh?
I'm trying to get an accurate measure of how much weight I've lost but can't weigh my parcel shelf as it's the only piece I've sold.
Thanks.
I got sent this earlier and thought it might be useful to some. Maybe a mod could sticky this?

In today's 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly' email, I'm looking at a particularly unattractive car insurance policy.
