Well, sort of.
Every little helps :approve:
I'm now at a solid 186 bhp per ton.
Got myself a nice 6kgs seat to go in next, hope to have that in before the Combe action day - and if that saves me 15kgs, I'll be somewhere around 190 :approve:
A full 'lap' but not filmed in the usual manner. I think this works well aside from a few minor timing issues (my patience ran out long ago).

Shame it was raining or I could have got footage from outside.
I'm trying to put together a full lap from different angles but this editing lark is taking me ages, so here's a clip of my faux pas instead for now.

This suction mount is impressive, so steady.
Very happy with the result on Saturday. The guy overlaid the curve from 13 months and 23,000 miles ago on the same rolling road with no difference in engine mods/setup...and it's not lost anything anywhere.

...from a rolling start the V didn't pull at all. Throw some 'twisties' into the mix and, well, see for yourself...

Driver was Oms on his first ever proper trackday :approve:
Good work lad.
More messing about with my mount...I can get the camcorder almost anywhere with it...so thought I'd try a Clarkson.
I'll shave next time.

...all condensed down into 3 minutes. Some silly bint in a old Boxster, and a 320d that was on its door handles. Pure comedy.
Since the insurers have paid up I've replaced my suction mount so finally got to get some footage from it...

They're sat at Rentech at the moment.
If you have a set of 1.2, 1.4, or even dCi side badges and want my 2.0 16V ones, get yourself down to Rentech and they'll exchange them over for you...ask Dave really nicely and I'm sure he'd remove your old ones and pop the new ones on for you too.
Back at last :D
Bit of a co(k-up at the garage this morning, had to go grab a coffee while I waited for them to turn up.
Turns out the ****s that took it nicked my gloves too. W****rs. And my suction mount's gone as well. Apart from that, everything was there, even the CDs and alloy wheel...
The control centre called;
"Do you have a spare set of keys?"
"Yes...you've found it?"
"Yes Mr B"
"Is it in a bad way?"
"The keys will greatly assist with the recovery"
That was it.
Knock at the door, in comes a nice man.
"Yours was the 4th one in the last few days, so we've been giving...
M***er-f***ers smashed in through our conservatory, grabbed the keys plus some cash from upstairs, then left.
Camcorder, camera, Xbox, new 6.1 amp all still here - so was either stolen to order or they got disturbed.
Registration YE53 ZKW.
Currently wearing 15" Dynamique wheels in silver...
But I don't think the stripping has made the slightest difference LOL
Might be because I was on track tyres that I couldn't get any heat into - the revs flared in 1st and I clipped the limiter.
Disappointed with my 100-0 as well - I make it about 5 seconds dead.

I was out filiming 0-100 and 100-0 runs earlier today on my private airfield.
After one 100-0 some random woman in a Zafira pulls up behind me as I'm stopped fiddling with my camera and waiting for the runway to clear. The camera was still running as she got out and came up to my door and...
Only seems like a small amount, but the change in charcter of the car is HUGE :approve:
Louder, coarser, more fidgety, tyre whine, exhaust drone, and quicker (obviously) - goodbye to 8.8 kgs of waste...
Also, a big thumbs up to Dave at Rentech for his handywork with a few cable ties :D...
I fancy trying some of these out - but nowhere seems to have them in stock.
The Colway office main number when I dial it no longer exists, and if I dial the fax number it just rings and rings.
Have they gone bust?
They look terrible I know, flaking, kerbed, covered in baked on brake dust.
Am I going to need a full refurb or are there any other options?
Considering they've only been hand washed about 5 times in their life, I think they're quite presentable LOL
A very eventful day, several offs, a bit of damage, and rain that just about held off - didn't stop the surface being like an ice rink though!
I need a new splitter and my arch liners popping back in as a result of my off from chasing that elusive 0.5 second on my last run...
I like, I like :approve:
Once they get hot what comes off the disc is impressive and totally appropriate at this time of year...
Warm...
Warmer...
Bingo!
Really bad short video clip of them in action here...CLICK
I travel down a lot of narrow tree-lined unlit country roads, and on my way home tonight I noticed a flash (quick like a camera flash but not as bright) out of the drivers window everytime I came off the brakes.
So I wound the window down, stuck my head out, and did a few hard stops - I was...
I've got one at work with 1,000 kgs limit.
If I jacked up my car then let it down with one wheel on the pallet truck, and did that for all four corners then added up the results...would I have an accurate total car weight?
I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't work.
But I still don't...
"Is an instruction session worth it?" - is an often asked question.
This guy was worth s***-loads.

He responded to areas where I was weak, and communicated well :approve:
