Forgot about water pump.
It would be silly to not replace the pump if you're having to have it out.
Could be leaking through the seals, or the gasket.
Genuine Only.
I can understand the consern about the spark plug threads.
New shiney bits look good. I know that boredom can cause further money spent increasing the work!
Should be awesome once its done.
HAI.
Been a few years since I had the 200 front bumper off, but I do that sorta thing daily at work (Inc a shed load of new Clio 200T's as you can't spec them with front parking sensors from factory!)
I'd happily help, its an easy job anyway :)
This happens when one of the front ABS sensors is unplugged, or not reading. Mine did this when I had rear sensors unplugged, along with one front one. Speedo also didn't work as it should.
Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'
Sorry I missed your call bud, tried to call back just now.
I have normally just done them as tight as I could without taking the piss. Don't think PMS give torque settings.
Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'
Check top mounts are tight now its been driven. The big nut in the middle (On mine its 24mm, but may be diff on yours due to billys).
Otherwise just do a nut and bolt check on everything that side.
Re: dmallett's indecisive clio thread! Monaco ph2 pg1+, Titanium ph1 pg31+, PB ph1 pg
I need to try and rememebr this.
Otherwise, as I said Dan, Unplug the siren, if it doesn't fire up, let me know and I'll pop over sometime and fix/disconnect it. It probs need the sensitivity turning down on...
I'm just like you, pretty much always bought broken cars, only cars I haven't bought broken, broke!
Do you have all three tools, most importantly the pulley locking tool, as its absoutely needed to loosen the two cam pulleys to get the timing bang on right, which it needs to be. Not to be...
Count yours, front or rear, although tbh it should be easy to see, as one is 28 and other is 44 IIRC.
If you keep your discs, it won't be a problem AFAIK.
The engine is a bit of a cost, but worst case you can pickup another engine cheap enough. Its probs dropped a valve if the spark plug is damaged, Its not often they bend that far to mash the spark plug, but might do I suppose!
Factor in cambelt kit, Dephaser, aux belt kit and service items...
f**k, yes I forgot. I blame Sburrell for saying Non-sport rather than DCi 100/1.6 petrol. :P
Yes, you can just swap stub axles, they are identical, although some have different ABS teeth.
Old faults, and not a lot tbh, Lambda is very common, could be sensor, could be cat, could be decatted. Foglight is earth on rear lights, very very common. ABS light is more than likely a sensor or cracked ABS ring.
£6/700 IMO.
PS, Full fat 182, both cup packs.
Yep, but you need everything bar actual beam, so sometimes its best to just get a complete beam.
You'll need...
Stub axles
Caliper Carriers
ABS sensors
Brake pips
Handbrake cables
Calipers
Discs etc.
