No need for spring compressors, just a buzz gun ideally. I'll happily offer my help.
Get the updated Renault items, Adam at Wolverhampton will be able to tell you what you need.
I have PMS Solid top mounts and don't rate them for road use.
Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'
Was a good evening, and a nice easy fix. Clearly we aren't very good criminals, unable to break into your house, or your car. Got there in the end though.
Glad it started up, and ran as well as it did/does. Sounds sweet.
If anybody else comes across this thread in the future, check the earth by the headlight (Where the battery earths onto the bodyshell), It was heavily corroded as per normal, cleaned up and it turned over, then it was just the fuel pump relay that needed cleaning up in the engine bay fuse box...
I do get a bit worried when I look outside and all I can see is Clios, mostly broken. Luckily I do have fairly understanding neighbours, except one or two, but I've only had comments when theres been too many cars around (parked out on the street, that day I had 9 here), I do keep quiet!
I'm...
More than enough!
Little more playing with the Inferno....
Decided to clean it first, It wasn't as dirty as when we collected it, but its been sat for a while now.
Done, still needs mopping, waxing and wheels doing, as they are dirty as hell, although check the change on the passenger side...
At pretty much every show I've been to with the Corsa forum, we've got the cars in lines of each colour, gets complex but does look awesome, although sometimes amazing cars are missed as they just get bypassed in a sea of the same colour.
Happens variously tbh, as per any earth issue as it depends what is earthing and how well.
Then it only really leaves the face of the starter/gearbox as that's what it earths through, starter is unlikely if you've tried two, trigger won't be the issue if it clicks. Could be the live, but...
The earth from the engine bay loom, goes onto gearbox, 13mm bolt that does nothing other then that earth, is it connected?
that's my bet. PM me if you can't locate it and I'll guide you over the phone.
First line or genuine track rods IMO. If you can get hold of a 32(?) mm viscous fan spanner, I'd have a go yourself. I've changed many with no issues. Get the tracking done straight away, as you won't get it close enough.
Ive generally changed inners anyway, makes the job much easier than...
Re: Spare Key Transponder > Car Alarm / Immobiliser / Central Locking Interaction Pro
Key needs programming, sounds like it was either replaced and not programmed, or the board has broken.
Where abouts are you?
b****cks tbh.
Mechanic number 1, would have instantly tried to start it, everybody would if it just suddenly cut out. Furthermore, I'd bet money that it would do the same amount of damage as it snapped and was still turning.
More than likely the perm live missing from the Hazard switch, Could be a fuse (unlikely), relay or wiring fault. It'd need playing with to proove. Assuming its not the switch itself obviously.
Nah, just misleading you all by saying I'm going to drive it, which I will, but only for a week or so. I want to buy a motorbike, so no need for a fast car.
So I have some Ph2 172 seats, from Dan Malletts old Monaco, but the tilt cable has broke, I ordered one from Renault wolverhampton believing they were all the same, but apparently not.
My seat looks like this, I guess the top cable is supposed to be like the bottom one, but the top one is...
Tis a very nice jack :P lol
Had a little play with the Inferno this afternoon, Runs sweet, just need to check a few bits. I refitted the headlight, fitted the Skoda front splitter and then refitted the front bumper. I need to put a one way valve in the headlight washer pipework as one leaks...
If your car is lower, you should be fine with your driveshafts etc due to the driveshafts etc being straight rather than angled down as much as standard.
You could fit 172 Cup shocks without changing anything however.
My mates normal garage has the tools, because I lend mine to them, and he does do the job right.
You've forgotten cam end seals, aux belt kit and service stuff in that too. Cam seals Renault Wolverhampton throw in, aux belt kit is more than likely needed too, and you don't want to run old oil...
Of course we will.
I still have too many Clios.
Hopefully get Joe's old one sorted within a couple of weeks, and get the Inferno done in a similar time. More to do on the Inferno than there is the DCi however.
