Honestly, sounds pretty s**t, cpu is pony....smashes anything out there at the moment.
It was an alienware Aurora R3, only thing left is the CPU, PSU and case. The Dell motherboard was shockingly pants.
I think Chris was very fair in his review. And it kinda got me thinking, you have to ask, would you take what Renault have offered over the concept of there not being an RS version? With current laws/rules and the fact that in an ever tighter economy there is less of an audience for such a niche...
I have heard of people moving the engine on the mounts slightly to help with drive shaft binding on lowered cars. My engine is pulling one shaft on acceleration and pushing it out under deceleration.
How do I go about making sure the engine is lined up properly on its mounts.
Material does have an influence on sound to be fair. Its all about resonance (sp?). For example, more exotic materials such as titanium give very different sounds.
Its fixed! it was the camber adjuster on the drivers side wheel. there was actually aprox 10mm of play. The adjuster got chewed up. Thanks all for all the advice. Trackday now to restore my faith in this little fucker.
I don't think a clio can ever really look mean...
Even one of the meanest looks kinda soft and cuddly. Its always going to be a Clio, which by definition is not mean.
In my opinion of course.
Yeah, will get a vid up tonight and try and show the play. Could move the wheel when the car was stationary on the ground. I pulled the top of the wheel with two hands, came towards me like 5mm then stopped with a thud.
No tony, I shall check this though. I am getting it into a garage again on Friday. I think i will record the sound tonight so you guys can hear the sound, as for the wheel movement I am stuck scratching my head again.
On one of the tracking reports it was running 2.6 deg neg camber on one of the front wheels. Would this not put pressure on the joint? its lower now too.
It knocked before however quieter and less frequent. I'm guessing it was on its way out and the camber from the coilover (especially if loose and self adjusting) is making it sound worse. Also if it is that causing the geometry upset, that would explain Renault not finding it, as they wont touch...
You know, sounds stupid but i have never checked the topnuts. As i say top mounts came pre built with the coilovers. I never checked the nuts.
Top bolts on coilovers were adjustable with a washer, s**t design and was worn, the bolts were tight, i have a feeling it could be this that moves...
Would a wheel bearing constantly whine? The wheel felt weirdly solid but loose when i pulled it. Can the nut on the shaft cause this? Could the shaft be coming in and out under acceleration and engine breaking? That's kinda how it feels through the steering wheel. Somethings pushing the...
Knocking was there pre topmounts/dampers, braking play not. I know the camber adjusters on the dampers were pretty crappy, wandering if that could be a cause. Knocking as said was there before.
Solid topmounts. Ktec gold. Fitted about 3 months ago after buying them of a forum user. How can i test them for play on the ball. Dampers are vmaxx from same user, came ready built up off his car.
I have a knock on front left (lhd car) when going round right hand bends i get, thud thud thud. When i brake the car steers left and when i accelerate you literally feel the geometry re settle in a different position. I grabbed the left front drivers wheel when stationary the side by side play...
My ph1 is still giving me headaches. I have had new wishbones with brand new oe bottom joints with powerflex bushes. New inner and outer track rod ends and on Friday it goes in for steering rack bushes.
When i brake fairly hard the steering will move (the wheels change direction, seems more on...
LaFerrari! Amazing. A whole clio 200's worth of extra power at the touch of a button. Some of the profile pics look a bit odd but overall I like the detail.
If I recall correctly the B14's were actually developed (valved) for the Ring. They have a fair bit of give in them because the last thing you want on the Ring is an uber stiff setup. And remember, you don't want to eradicate body roll, you need it, you just want controlled body roll, which is...
Re: CLIO IV RS for 2013, Last news - NEW DETAILS #1779
Can i please remind people that in order to have YOUR opinion heard, you first have to accept other people have an opinion that may not tally up with your own. This is normal, arguing the toss is not.. its actually pretty f**king thick...
Just a quick one..
I recently got a set of used VMAXX coilovers. They are pants. I don’t get on with them at all and they don’t even provide decent enough handling to put up with the crashy ride. A few quick questions…
What is the best suspension setup for compliance on the road with good...
