That was the special edition RS500. Doubt the standard one will have 350BHP. Its not practical in terms of Service costs. You know how tightly wound a 2.0-2.5L engine has to be to produce 350BHP?
Hi mate. Add a little bit of a dead zone to the clutch pedal in the options. You want to go for around 10-15%. This should clear up your clutch Issues.
I hate missing a gear on this game/sim, getting stuck in neutral right on an apex is not fun.
This. Crashing is pretty irrelevant really. If I crash the Clio or the rental... its going to cost money.
I think I am more scared of the Clio coming to the end of its fairly abusive life. The poor thing is one of the runts that has been hammered from day 1, its still seems eager and quick...
Replaced every part of the front suspension. I have no idea whats causing the knocking noise or the instability. Everything will be checked for tightness, a quick geo setup and a new set of tyres.
Sounds exactly like what you describe. I have a set of Toyo TR1's at the moment. The fronts are very second hand. Almost full tread in the middle and almost to the canvas on the outer edge (Trackdays)
The renting debate is also another factor. I never quite took the swift by the scruff of the...
Hahaha, yeah. Its weird, it feels like when i turn the steering wheel the car turns, then it turns a little bit more on its own then settles, very strange.
Came on here to get some others opinions.
For some reason I am scared of taking my Clio around the Ring. Mostly for fear of binning it or the engine/box going bang.
I think its on about 240,000 KM at the moment. Engine seems ok. Gearbox crunches in 4th, perhaps 1 shift in every 30 will...
The multiplayer code had a conflict with the single player code and so single player would crash, they held the release back and so this weekend was spent waiting for an update that never arrive.
Would be well up for a server being set up.
Multiplayer failed hard this weekend in the world of Assetto Corsa.
If anyone sets something up I shall be in.
It does push. I tend to go in a little hotter so it neutralises it.
I downloaded "joux plane" from Richard burns rally for AS. The lotus on that a stage is epic fun.
I learned to heel and toe on assetto corsa, I'm quite fond of the clutch and H pattern. Love flinging the lotus exeige about, it feels like I'm actually driving a car.
Logitech g27.
Its done me well, its been hammered and remained pretty reliable. I had a g25 before this but it broke. Its not that difficult to set up. There are 4 wires in total...
pedals to wheel
power to wheel
usb to wheel
Gear selector to wheel
Its all pretty neat and its not difficult...
Been part of project cars since its inception. I am one of the first round of investors (You chose how much money you invested into it upon purchase).
Firstly yes I am using a wheel on both of these. I can not even start to describe the difference between using a pad and wheel, unfortunately...
Yeah, I have a Logitech G27.
The Logitech driving force GT is a good introductory wheel. You can upgrade the pedals and shifters in the future if you get into it. If not the two pedals with the flappy paddles is still fun enough.
Nice selection of tracks now, also plenty of variation in cars to be racing. Its all about the physics and the feel through the wheel. I have never felt anything as close to life as this since perhaps live for speed.
I'm running the red eibach springs. This is the funny thing, its almost as if I can feel the progressive spring rate on the rear. As you tip the car in at first it wants to come around and it then settles. Almost like a spring/damper deadzone.
Long left hand corner, sweeping high speed corner.
Come into the corner at around 110-120kph.
I turn in slowly and smoothly, car turns nice, then suddenly its as if the rear starts steering on its own making the arc of the car tighter, feels like the back steps out for a small moment...
There has been a modern equivlent to TOCA. Based on the WTCC. The Simbin "Race" series, it caters more towards the Sim crowd than casual racers. They have a new one coming out soon, here is a sneaky vid....
Not really much to like or dislike about them. They make it easier to put your wheels on. And they stop your wheels falling off just like the standard wheel bolts.
Any particular reason you need them? Do you swap wheels regular on track days etc? Do you need longer studs for spacers?
Which is why race cars started using multiple piston calipers. Better modulation and even pad pressure.
Pedal feel its much more detailed on multiple pot calipers. Its like comparing a single string guitar to a 4 string guitar, the notes you hear (feel through the pedal) are obviously going to...
Not fully true. Pad size can be identical, the single pot poses no physically restricting attributes as to necessitate restriction of the pad size, in comparison to a caliper with more than one piston.
Distribution of force however will be a factor with the single pot, so pad pressure will be...
