Been playing a lot of assetto corsa (400+ hours now). I can't seem to get the graphics to look good. So... This is what my pc currently looks like...
CPU: Intel i5 2400 3.1ghz (Socket 1155)
Motherboard: Asus p8268-MPro
GPU: Saphire HD7970 3 GB (gddr5) boost.
Ram: Corsair Vengence 16GB (4x4)...
I had two of these fitted on the front of mine about 3 weeks ago. They are quite squirmy in the dry. Seem to have a lot of tread movement. Good progressive grip though.
What is the part number for the bottom ball joint? If I recall correctly its actually stocked as a Megane part ( or some other Renault) part.
Also, do you think i should replace the whole bottom arm? These are less than a year old yet one of the ball joints has play.
Thanks
I'm currently running 45 profile t1R's. I have killed the fronts now so am looking at getting some new. I notice a lot of people run the 50 profile.
Is there a huge difference? Should I be going 50?
John
Hi all,
I know a few of you are using Assetto Corsa. I joined a group of guys from the UK last night. They are running two mini championships with Assetto Corsa.
Great bunch of lads, quite quick (mixed abilities) and good banter. They run races on wednesday (BMW GT2) and Sunday (Formula...
I'm currently looking to replace m whole sub-frame because of the same fault.
Mine does my head in, its particularly bad under braking, follows the road left and right (weirdly worse with no engine braking ie: between gears shifting down for the corner)
Would be great to hear off others who...
For those arguing about slick legality... It depends on the trackday. Each has its own rules and regs. Those stipulating "Road legal" require you to use E marked tyres.
I am going for laptimes because i'm a racing driver = toyo R888 (or similar)
I am going for fun and like feeling the car gradually and progressively slide (thus learning car control) = some tyres.
Decided I want to change my subframe. Perhaps I may be able to track down my knock and wandering suspension.
How hard would a full Sub-frame swap be on the drive way with very limited tools (sockets and spanners)?
Whats the best way to go about it? What will be the most difficult part?
I think people are breaking too early and longer (less pedal force) which is obviously dragging the brakes and would account for heat buildup.
I'm no expert race driver, but I like braking sharp and late, nose points in nice and then you get the neutral balance and can adjust the exit nice and...
I need to see some vids of people on track. Specifically vids of those "Cooking" brakes.
I may sound like a nob banging on about this, but I have never ever run out of brakes on the Clio. I don't see how people are getting the brakes so hot.
Just for reference I did a trackday at the Ring...
Like for like, bog standard cars... the Clio has always been the better of the two in terms of chassis dynamics.
You never hear of people putting Renault engines in Honda's now do ya? ;)
As I have said in other threads the knocking my car makes seems to be impossible to find.
Its now started becoming louder and more frequent, this may (hopefully) help you guys diagnose it?
It now makes the loud clang/clunk sound when I go through a chicane (i know its not a race track, but...
The foglights/ undertray/ bracket system/ grilles/ badge/ splitter etc... will cost more money
REPEAT THESE ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS SALE ITS JUST FOR THE BARE BUMPER
WHAT!!!!!!!!!!?????? 400 for a bumper that he's stripped bare.
I'm not a Ford fan though. I drive a Renault. Before that I have always been Peugeot. I have only owned one ford, it was a Puma.
I do however understand sales, marketing and common sense.
Could it be to lower insurance rates? Thus opening the car to a younger, less cash rich audience? An audience which happens to be larger than the niche market of only small number of the population that can afford to buy and insure 200BHP shopping trolleys?
Probably not.
To be fair, the G27 is usually regarded as being bombproof.
Mine has done well over 800 Hours and i'm as ham fisted as you like. I also dropped it off the table a few times, still works.
My G25 actually broke. That was because of the PCB's got burned out when my PSU failed and surged the...
