Cheers guys :)
Another little update, White LED Dash conversion....
Removes these little f*****s...
Replaced with White LED's, result....
Centre multi display next, Harder as they are 4pin. (Filling it up tomorrow)
Will eventually do the rest of the car, switches etc.
Update...
Onto the belt change, Old belt etc off
Plastic water pump out, metal pump in, Mucho better.
New stuff on
Then onto a bit of a b*****d job, The three bolts for the Turbo, Had to cut and drill them out. Simply too tight. Replaced with Genuine bolts (Updated design though!)
Then...
I do indeed, PM me if intersted.
Little update...
Finally got myself some Cliosport stickers
As recently mentioned, got myself a sport wheel, needs a refurb and the bottom trim, but its nicer to use in the mean time, plus sport pedals, feel a bit nicer to use.
Slowly getting there. Next...
Cheers bud.
Shaft sorted it, lovely to be able to throw it about a bit and not have the juddering/noise of the outer CV munching itself!
Was a bit shocked with that power, I was expecting about 50bhp lol.
Cheers dude :) And as always, not a problem.
Bit of an update too..
Firstly, Friday night, me and a mate had nothing to do, so decided the best thing to do, was clean my car, obviously.
Then, along with ParisPeach I attended SE's Southend Clio meet...
Then this morning, I was outside...
I had this happen on three of mine, Simple, Socket in the front two, 16 or 17mm iirc, I had the perfect lengh socket. Then the rears, spanner in the hole thats on the inside face of the chassis leg, was easy.
Having had the subframe off my clio, I'd much rather do that than take the box out the top, subframe comes off so easy, even if the captive nut clips break, Took me just over an hour iirc.
This is the most recent driveway project of mine, One in a long line of them.
Backstory is, Its my brothers Audi, Owned for 3 years now, covered approx 8k in that time, so very little useage.
Recently devloped a problem with the ESP/ABS which was traced to the sensor in the servo, I forget...
Love a fellow flamer.
However, those wheels look like 15s (should be 16 on a sport) and it hasn't got xenons (should do, not being a cup), can be proven by headlight washers.
Easier to replace valves, pop tyre off rim, cut old valve out, replace with new and re-seat the tyre. I don't want to be heating valves up, that are on a rubber stem, next to a rubber tyre, on a nicely painted alloy wheel.
Found everything from the same engined clio, bolted it all up, then wired the A/C like a old car, So a few relays and a bit of head scratching so it works as a factory setup would in a older car (without a body control module)
Bigish update.
First up, got myself some 25mm front spacers and temporary front grill. Front wheels fit exactly how I want them.
Secondly, picked up a flame red sport rear bumper.
Finally, sport interior
Now the plans are to finish the sport rep-ness and then power.
Just back from workshop, had a good look.
Sports (well deffinantly the one my stuff came from) must be M14, insted of M12 as per my previous non-sport.
Ordered some M14 bolts.
Cheers bud. Hmm, It wasn't as bad as I was expecting at all! I got the old one off within an hour, including a battle with the main subframe bolts, but now I've done it once, I reckon I could have it off again much quicker!
Cheers :)
I'm not a fan of long shifts, moreso worn ones, short shift...
Car is my 172 rep DCi. Fitted with what I was told is early ph2 172 complete front end setup (subframe, wishbones, shocks, hubs etc etc), I fitted all new balljoints and poly bushes.
But, the problem. I noticed when fitting the shocks up, there's a huge amount of movement in the lower two...
Cheers :)
Definantly not, but it uses half the fuel of a sport!
Yep exactly as I did on mine, I fitted new track rod inners which were a couple of mm longer too.
