Big update.
Yesterday my polybush kit turned up
Welded in the sleeves (filled insides after)
Braided lines also came, Went for these due to the stainless ends.
Planned to get the old front end setup off tonight, and refit the new one tomorow, insted I got carried away, and nearly finished...
Looks good.
I believe the sports are 30mm overall wider track, so 15 each side, However you could convert to sport front end, (wishbones, hubs, brakes, arb, shocks), will give you the extra track, ideal for adding spacers onto to get the wheels sitting perfect, plus bigger brakes and thicker...
Cheers dude
I replaced the entire track rod inc end recently, should be able to wind them out without issue.
Cheers dude.
Wasn't going to bother posting this, but cleaned it this morning.
I can't wait to get the wide track stuff on, I'm just waiting for polybushes and braided hoses...
Short shift turned up yesterday, fitted last night.
I freaking love it, bit of a PITA to fit though.
Gator will go back on, just haven't got around to it.
I had been umming and arring about this since you first posted. Don't know if my car is going to be in bits still, Would it be okay to turn up on the day and pay the full amount?
Also, other makes welcome? Brother would like to run his T4 if allowed.
Picked up wide track conversion stuff, Just need polybushes, Braided lines, Caliper rebuild kit and lots of paint and elbow grease.
May notice above, I now have a lower grill :D, Just need an upper, eventually!
Its getting there, long long list still to go.
04 Clio DCi 65. Over a 100mile motorway trip, reset at fill up, not while on motorway. Now thinking about some drag reduction stuff and see if I can get a true 99.9mpg haha.
The dealer was indeed told. I'd be fine if it was just one car, but both the dealer had in, Not even delivered at the same time. Makes me wonder how many others are like this.
I get that cars are assembled by humans, Mistakes happen and all that, But I'm seriously surprised by how poor a lot of new cars come from the factory.
Today, I found one of the best I've seen in my years.
This is a 2013, Brand new, Delivered the other day to the dealer, still at the dealer...
Bought this in 2011, Paid £1300, Was okay money for a Okay car, bit tatty but otherwise good, 142k miles.
Looked like this, including welsh flags on number plates (Spent its 7 years in Wrexham)
Two weeks, and one thousand miles later, It left me at the side of the road, due to the below...
You can buy a repair kit from Renault, Its not cheap though (Its the whole plug, plus lengh of wiring) Or go to a scrappy, Crank sensor plug is also the same.
HTH.
Climate control requires aircon, and retrofitting aircon isn't that easy (Although I've done it).
Retrofitting climate control isn't easy, It needs loads of wiring, and I'm not sure where the ecu for it is, Probably UCH. Not worth it!
Cheers, I plan the interior eventually but I think I'm going to do some other stuff first.
Anybody done the wide track conversion before changing the bumper/wings for sport items? Enough clearance?
My DCi. Lowered on 172 wheels, Going to be removing the vinyl on the front and rear diamonds.
Trying to decide what to do next, Interior, intercooler/remap or wide track front end.
