I actually came to find this thread between the forum crashing.
I too have PMS top mounts and had a rattle/knocking devlop, just happend to have the bonnet open earlier while lowering the car off the 2poster after doing a CV boot when I noticed the top mount move a little. Nipped up the top nut...
The pink bit in the picture, unplugs from the purple bit, so pop the clutch switch out, and have a go at reassembling it, I forget what they are like now, but should just be a case of putting it back together providing nothing is missing. Worst case you do need a new switch.
I hope that makes...
Doubt you'll get the correct extra caster wishbones from your suppliers.
Track rod ends are standard Clio, the inners show up as Kangoo items iirc, Have a search as its been covered about 4 million times.
Has your car got cruise control? Looks like the switch has fallen apart by that pic.
If you don't have CC, just tape it back up to the loom thats there.
If you have CC, Remove the switch (push pedal, twist out) and try to re-assemble it, if you can't, new switch time.
The Range only works when the fuel light isnt on, so assuming you have more fuel than that, Reset dials. Push and hold the end stalk button, while turning the ign on, can release the button once ign is on, you'll see the dials light up and the needles move. Then switch ign off, and hopefully...
I forgot to add about the possibility of it being missing between the ECU and cabin connector.
UCH doesn't need programming, Engine ECU and Dials do however.
Not sure what this forum is like with talking about this, but see where this goes.
I'll start by saying I don't trust my nearest Renault dealer with my car having seen their work before, and all the others, inc specialists are a fair while away, so I'd clearly like to avoid for the time beiing...
All the ECU's have the function. Dials will need programming for it to work too on a later digital dash Clio I believe, as Mine, even with it turned on in the Engine ECU, doesn't work.
Pop the panel with the headlight adjuster out, look for a white plug taped up there somewhere. If it has that, its not too hard, case of sourcing all the parts, and then maybe ecu and dial programming.
If it hasn't got the plug, Means swapping dash looms for one that has it, which is major...
Get the tracking done first, Sounds like its got toe out and its just dragging itself all over the road.
As for spluttering, engine Management light on? Could be a simple HT lead or spark plug, or something else, Extreamly hard to diagnose over the internet!
Where abouts are you? Somebody...
Most likely the cat to centre section join, I forget the name for the kind of join, but its pretty bad. Best to take it to a decent exhaust place and have them sleeve it.
Used a pattern mount on one of the 172's and had no issues with it, fitment was spot on, and was just as good as the Genuine mount put on my mates 182.
Mines decatted and has no backbox, so straight through from the turbo.
Sounds a bit like a tractor sometimes. Its quite noisy, but has improved performance a little (that'll be the decat though)
Re: Cavernous pothole = steering wheel not straight, pulls to the right, dodgy full l
First thing for you^ to look at is how centred the wheel is in the arch, If it looks about right, just get the tracking done. Otherwise, it'll need some investigation into what is bent.
Halfords plates do indeed say Halfords on the bottom, plus the BSAU marks.
You can sometimes find makers that will do standard plates clean, as per I've fitted on my cars, however the place I got mine from have now gone.
Fancyplates will do them without makers marks etc if you select show plates.
