They are about £1.30 each from memory.
If you get really stuck Jon I can try dig some out from my old engine I think I kept them in the garage as spares
I did have a look around but then run into needing new brackets etc. The only reason I don't like the alcons is the seat damage otherwise they are really good. I have been assured if I torque them myself then I won't have an issue so we will see!
Can't say I've ever tried a car with in the wet only ever driven a couple and was dry. What's the difference? I know they are sometimes not ideal on gravel due to the wheel spin so I guess a similar issue in the wet?
Paddleshift in Motorsport applications still uses a sequential box but then adds extra sensors, an extra ECU and some clever mapping which controls the gear cut and controls throttle openings to provide a really quick up and down shift with perfect rev matching. No clutch needed on either the up...
Haaahaa pmsl!
Yupp we shouldn't get so carries away lol
Lol spaghetti now we are talking ;)
I'm going to hold on to them as spares as the replacement parts are so expensive from Alcon to the point where new pistons are more than I've paid for the whole new set of calipers so I will kick...
Had a look through the prices and specs of the new cars the other week interesting that the paddles are an option as I imagine it makes the car quicker on a full lap as it will blip the down changes etc.
I don't know what it is with me and Mondays but did another late one tonight and just finished off. Managed to get all the fuse and relay board complete and have powered up a few circuits to check they are working which was very satisfying :) Plans for tomorrow are mount the false floor on the...
Haha no worries mate :) Nitrogen FTW! I just get them filled to 30 and then drop them when testing to a good hot running temp and never have to top them up again
I haven't found anything anywhere near rated for the temp that the calipers get to :( A few other people I have asked have warned...
Was a red light DURRRR :rasp: I'm never going to live that down am I!
Can't bloody wait had another setback today though the bloody calipers are still leaking looks like I'm just going to have to buy a new set :dapprove:
Great stuff Phil :)
Who is the Cadwell day with in 2 weeks? I could probably get mine finished for then and need to get around Cadwell before I race there!
My ECU has it but it's pretty useless so I (also Tony and Jay) just use the launch control rev limit and that does the job perfectly :) As you say if there is a feature like Launch or button to swap maps etc then easy to sort. Would make life much easier for Pete and Sam
