I genuinely wouldn’t give you £500 quid for it. The only thing that makes it PF any interest is the colour and lets be honest. The paint is fucked. So after that it’s a 182 with no belts, no history and has clearly been treated poorly thoughout and even worse by our Mike Brewer wannabe.
I’d say...
Yep.
I bought mine at 8k miles old and sold it to a friend after 4.5 years at 84k miles.
Stupidly i sold it for a Mini JCW GP1 which was the biggest HOS going. Totally overrated piece of junk.
Missed my Clio from the moment it went. Eventually bought back my original 182 from my friend last...
Personally, i hate 2500s with a passion. I use Pagid RS29 front and RS4-2 rear. Daily driven and nothing but great breaking performance with no issues.
Work from cold, get better with temp, great disc & pad life. Only downside is theyre dusty and a bit expensive.
The funny thing is, the vast majority of people buying Clios want gold for brass money so wouldnt pay anywhere near that price for one.
The Clio people that are happy to pay handsomely for a nice one wont buy it because its a shitter for 200yds away.
So god knows who he thinks hes going to sell...
Inferno cleans up so nice.
Nice to see some positive upgrades making the drive better. I’ve got new OEM mounts all round on mine, forever tempted by something stiffer. Having said that, the gear change is tight as a drum anyway. Good call on the shims too, they deffo won’t have been helping...
Ive not yet weighed them but the Turinis are noticeably lighter.
But in addition they have lighter tyres too.
I’m sure people have done it but I’ll weigh one when I get them back to see. 🙂
I agree, especially the EVOs, however both are NLA. Desmond are taking pre orders for re-edition EVOs but they’re way out of sensible budget really.
Spoon SW388s are still available over here and cheaper than the EVOs but still frighteningly expensive, and I’ve gotta draw a line somewhere lol...
Lmao, all in good time sir, all in good time.
I need to explore all the options before pulling the trigger.
That’s the problem with decent wheels, they’re bloody expensive. 😅
For interest, i found this info on the Starlet GT site, as these boys mostly run a 15x7 ET38 so quite comparable to what many of us run. Mostly high end JDM wheels but interesting all the same .
3.9kg - Desmond Rega Master EVO - 15x6.5
3.9kg - SSR Type-C - 15x6.5
