Certainly couldn't be doing with that! What is the cause of the failures Mike? Certainly didn't realise they were that much of an advantage over an ATB! I thought a tenth a lap maybe although Simon was pushing for me to swap it for a gripper
I could be wrong but I think the ABS cables are shielded cables and are a twisted pair so my guess is they are not happy at being connected but I could be wrong. If not have you disturbed the loom down near the ABS connector upto the bulkhead?
For quite possibly the first time in my life i've had my mind changed ;) Not going to dip it no, Might get something onto the underside or just leave it will have a think :)
Changing series will happen at some point in the future could be one year away or 5 but for now I will be racing in the Tintops :) That does sound like a good weekend though and something I might look to in the future!
Haha pmsl! You are right Chip it's not going anywhere :rasp:
Thanks Darren...
Jeez didn't realise you had so many issues with it throughout the year! Great result though at Brands and awesome video from the Ring :) What are the plans for next year with the car?
Just less than 1k for a bare shell but as I say would be a few stages back from now :(
Nah Dan Stu is correct, the T+C's state you have to have 6mm holes in all the tubes and box sections to allow the fluids in and back out! It's probably the biggest put off for me!
Can't roll the car over in my garage not enough height :( Was my original plan
Not sure but they still come with all the crap on and then I would need a new cage etc
Yeah I know what you mean mate :) I will have a good think
Yes Stu they did seem very helpful via phone and email
I did look into this but it won't remove the undersell/seam sealer :(
Yes I originally was the same and wanted to E-coat it, SPL have said they never E coat the race cars so I am only going on what i've been told. They just advised as I was concerned about the box sections to get a cavity protector into them as all the box sections on the clio have access to them...
I agree with the above, I am going to re wrap my car when it comes back from painting :) I will try and find the people who supplied me with the vinyl! Will be less than £100 for materials so a lot less than decent paint will cost you and unless you have access to an extracted spray booth that...
Yes it did sound like it would be a rather nice car when complete :)
None of the pictures worked in the thread unfortunately :( It sounded like he was going to use the AST BMW ones and then swapped to Scooby one's. The top mounts on both are very similar from what I have seen before just the...
They offer E-coating but it's over twice the price of the dipping itself. Mainly designed for road cars that will constantly be seeing salt, water etc. They have assured me they virtually never E coat race cars. I guess you could powdercoat the whole shell but it's a lot heavier and I wouldn't...
Yes I was expecting it too lol! Knowing my luck it will rain on the way home. It sounded like they put a liquid on that helps for a couple of days but I will go down to collect the shell on the morning and get it straight to the bodyshop and in the oven that day :)
