It's a tillet screw type proportioning valve, if you aren't in a rush then hold off and I will let you know if it works or not in March which is when the first shakedown test will be
The gear kit was apparently originally designed for the R5 so I guess the ratio's could be the one used in that box
I don't really understand ratio figures lol
Some people have said 20kg's and other have said 40kg's I'm not too sure but any weight saving will help :)
Looks very complex/expensive lol! Yes we do :(
Not yet Chris ;) Haha I don't tell my girlfriend anything about the car she has zero interest!
I think the only way for me to work it out is to buy one and then try and I can't risk spending that much and then not getting it to work! Also would have to sort hydraulic clutch issue :(
My seat is already against the rear seat squab lol!
Yes I have got a list Andy, It's not essential but at some point I want to do it and I am hoping I never have to have the car stripped down as much as it is now so it makes sense to me to do the difficult jobs now and then do other 'bolt on' items on my 'to-do' list when I can afford to
Had a look at that one the other week, for me to keep the pedals far enough away from me I need to go for an underslung one and then I struggle for clearance with my new PAS system :(! Hopefully my new setup will be perfect :)
Yes I have heard a few horror stories, rust on the underside is the...
We are allowed the adjuster in car as long as on the min setting it still allows 25% braking force to the rear (So no in a clio)
PS out of interest which pedal box have you fitted to the mk1 Chip :)?
Yes Tony you are right but by the time you buy something and re fab it to fit around the steering column its just not feasible for bias adjustment :( Nice though!
I know of 3 and you guys could make 4! I'd only be interested at their original price and not what they are thinking they would have to increase them to though :(
No unfortunately not, the valve works by adjusting the pressure depending on how much brake force is applied so at 200psi it will send all of it to each corner but then as that increases it then reduces the pressure to the rears. If you fit a second one the pressure out of the first would be...
Yes I was a bit worried too so just got to hope Tillet and demon tweeks are right with what they say! Tillet said they will take it back if it doesn't work which gives me some confidence.
Haha this is where I find its had a massive repair on a panel and its been filled! I said to them about...
Yes that is the problem as most don't but the Tillet one I have got works on pressure reduction so the more pressure that goes through it the more it reduces it, most of them are just a restriction in the line. It's the same type renault used to use on the Group N cars I just copied it from the...
I originally wanted to but the costs involved were a no go, Managed to get a really good quote to do it and now the shell is fully bare it would be wise to do it now if i'm ever going to do it and unfortunately I have OCD so I think it will get done lol!
172 cup master and then the two M12's to...
Yes you will need to if you remove the ABS, you might also want to fit the 172 cup engine loom as that doesn't have all the crap for the ABS and is an easy fit :)
