Yes braided throughout but I have changed the routing of the hoses to simplify the car so they now run in the car so they don't pass under the fuel tank. Before I would of had to remove the tank if my fuel pump goes and to this I would need to remove the brakes pipes so just thought to run them...
Great write up and video too :) Thanks for having me yesterday and was great to see the car going round, Thanks for offering to take me out but me and those seats were never going to happen lol!
I didn't realise you were running stock Camber, increasing it will help but it certainly looked to...
Earls hoses made them up and for the 6 hoses it was £170ish that is with stainless fittings which nearly doubled the cost so with normal fittings would of been around £100 for the full car! They have done a great job and their service has been spot on :)
Had a day on the car today and Russ (Sprintcup) also came over to help me which was a great help! We were working just on the shell with taking the last few bits off so that it is back to the bare shell. The rear beam was one thing to remove so this came off and then stripped down ready for the...
Already got polycarbs Phil on the side ones but yes I am getting the rear one this winter :) I will be using P4P whose quality of their windows is great!
P4P will do exactly what you want but they are not cheap :(
It was the plan about this time last year but it was then pretty much discounted as the car would of needed loads of little things to be road legal never mind undrivable on the road lol! I wouldn't want to be without indicators anyway :)
Yes Cup spoiler will be going when I fit the rear polycarb :)
Good to hear as I still wasn't convinced there will be much in it :)
Yeah the box will need rebuilding too I guess when its starts to get more power through it so won't be too bad!
Yeah it could of been a different leak to be fair but there was a JC5 gripper that was leaking lol
No definitely not! Ouch at 3k
Good on you mate and yes I can imagine!
Ohhh foook! I remember someone having a leak issue with their gripper at Oulton, If Fred see's this he will remember as I can't remember what they did to fix it
I can grab some photos for you :) (I am pretty rubbish with a camera though) I spoke with circuit days and they are full :( Was hoping to get on track but will still pop along as I said to Mike the other week!
2 nuts under the plastic side sill, couple of nuts when you open the door, another one under the wheel arch liner, one under the scuttle, a couple under the bonnet and one on the bumper mounting plate too! Not a clue why a plastic wing needs so many fittings
Right that is interesting, I think gripper will just set it up the first time and then hopefully it should be okay and suited to what i'm doing but I will give Martin a call and see what they recommend as its always better to have a second opinion :)
Thanks Matt
Yes will be doing as long as the quaife sells :)! Was chatting about it today and wasn't really sure how much difference it will make, the main reason for me is to alter the CW+P ratio
How bad is the maintenance? I haven't even checked it out just thought I will forget it and worry next winter lol
