Yeah C5, that's it - as long as you get everything off the wheels first (all the brake dust), it's AMAZING. Honestly is worth it imo, but you have to really give the wheels a good clean, so depends if you can be bothered more than anything :P
I did it to my Turinis on the Clio as soon as I got...
Lol 900 miles already! :D
Clean it up with normal stuff (shampoo then decontamination with IronX/Tardis) and then get some Hydro2 on it. Iirc the Hydro2 is fairly cheap compared to how good it works.
Or alternatively go for a Nano sealant (like C2v3 or CQuartz UK), but they're a bit more...
As I said previously, it maybe down to how you drive? (how do you drive?)
The test has shown that nothing is wrong with your MPG on a run, so I can't see how anything would affect it during a normal drive to work? Are you constantly stop-starting, do you brake heavily and accelerate back up again?
250-300 miles per tank I'd say is normal use tbh.
That's what I got over the 4 years of ownership, and I used to top up 40 or 45 quid every single time, so it wasn't even a full tank!
Yay. :).
Went for Meguiars in the end (typo from last post), now bring on the weekend!
Lots more reading/watching to do beforehand so I'm fully ready.
Also - anyone got recommendations for cleaning/maintaining the R steering wheel? aucky ? Not sure what to use on it yet, but I think it could...
Absolutely nothing wrong with a standard Clio on track, in fact if you think you NEED to do anything to put it on track (aside from ensuring fluid levels and other checks are done), then you're wrong imo.
It all depends on driving style, for all we know you maybe ragging it and constantly braking/accelerating.
If you can get 40mpg on the test, can't see what the issue would be tbh.
It was a while since I used it, but the more prep you can do the longer it'll last :]
Get my DA tomorrow, hoping to give it a go over the weekend!
DAS-6 Pro with Menzerner polishes + Hex-Logic pads in the end.
To go with this too, Brentacre also wanted silly money (more than the cost of taking out a NEW policy in full) when I changed cars.
I've used Brentacre in the past with 3 out of the 4 years of my Clio being with them, but I was extremely disappointed this time.
I'd imagine failing emissions is a much smaller % than say bald tyres or something that requires maintenance, rather than modification :).
Your average joe doesn't give a s**t about their car, and some don't bother with putting any money into it! :P
Ok, well those figures look fine tbh.
If you were at 60 you'd be around 43-45mpg which sounds perfect for the 1*2.
Now I'm real confused how you only get 100 miles to a tank, someone is either having a laugh by stealing your fuel, or the tank is leaking or something.
Ahh nope sorry - will try and get some :)
It basically just looks like you've left a bit of polish on, it's a little smeary/hazy :)
I narrowed it down to leaving it on for too long before buffing off, and then not being able to buff it off (didn't want to rub too hard for fear of damaging...
