In what way does it not fit?
If it's single DIN (you'd be a massive idiot to be trying to put a double DIN into a single DIN slot as it's twice as tall) then it should fit.
1) Remove Renault HU
2) Insert cage
2a) Optional: bend neccessary tabs to ensure good fit
Done.
Sounds good. Some sort of mesh guard over the fog light may be advisable to prevent stones/small birds/whatever etc damaging the panel filter.
Without relocating pipes, cutting into scuttle panels and spending a fair chunk (£100 or so) that's about as good as an induction setup is going to get...
This.
You simply can not argue that m (for mass) or j (for rotating mass) doesn't appear in virtually every single suspension related equation and that lower is better.
HOWEVER this is a track day not a time trial and so you'd probably get far more enjoyment by spending the money on tuition...
IIRC in short "no." All RS models have longer wishbones, longer driveshafts, different hubs, different stub axles, require a different subframe and require different dampers to a 1.6.
Between the cup vs normal RS setup the dampers, driveshafts, stub axles & hubs are different.
When you're doing some quotes it's well worth playing around and seeing what a difference some modifications make. The online quotation forms on Admiral etc are so easy to modify once you've put all your details in.
The price & mileage sound good. Likewise Ph2 172 wheels are a decent addition, though black on silver never looks particular brilliant IMO. Just looks cheap/chavy.
Colour coding makes a massive difference and is definitely worthwhile. 172 side skirts are a bit, pointless IMO. Once lowered 30mm...
That's the thing the Renault Tunepoint (IIRC) will give you connectivity (and retain steering wheel controls without the need for an adaptor, as it works using the 6cd multichanger connector? IIRC) but you'll still bstuck with poor sound quality and no expandability. An aftermarket headunit will...
Yes, an aftermarket unit will look tacky compared to anything OEM, but if you want better sound quality, connectivity and expandability (which many do) then you quite simply have no real choice other than an aftermarket unit.
To add to what's been said, as well as budget a crucial starting point is deciding what you want as that'll influence what your money is spent on.
If you want sound quality (i.e. if you actually like music) then amped (front) components are probably what you'll want to look at first. If you...
In my experience budget tyre on front right + decent tyres on all other corners = car lurches violently to the left under heavy braking/emergency stop. Not fun.
Slamming on the brakes takes you by suprise enough as it is, without finding yourself also needing to steer to the right to stay in...
Yes there are lots of people who haven't changed belts and are still going. There are also plenty of people living in warzones who haven't died yet.
However much money and inconvinience having the cambelt done is, it's certainly a lot less hassle and expense than an engine transplant/rebuild...
Re: Just got lowering springs and have been scared out of fitting them... advice plea
Also, it's an MOT fail if springs do not relocate themselves properly after the suspension is in "droop" (e.g. when it's up on a ramp or the inside wheel during heavy cornering) IIRC. Therefore if the springs...
It has the ride height of a 4x4 and the arch gap of a Ford Puma...
Definitely go smalled. The benefits are worthwhile anyway, but even more so because this is a low power track-car build. Smaller wheels (i.e. 15s or 16s) will:
Lower the C of G (improving cornering)
Reduce something called...
Pro tip/Insider secret/actually-quite-well-known-snippet: RS Clios don't really produce anything that close to 172/182 as standard.
EDIT 1: Well, I was a bit late to the party...
EDIT 2: Amazed at your postcount, there's a "let's all laugh at this ebay ad power claim" twice a day!
As if anyone who'd read anything on this forum would own up to that being them...
Pause at a very late 0:15 and observe the apparant lack of central twin exhausts.
Again I didn't own a Trophy, just a 182 FF, so might not be the best placed to comment but from what I've read on this forum it'd seem that "Mark Fish" springs + Sachs + Whiteline ARB is the ultimate B-Road setup. I'd suggest you find out if these highly acclaimed Mark Fish springs are any lower...
You're doing it wrong/something is broken (i.e. Lambda sensor) But seriously... even city driving will see a number beginning with 3*.
Andy, if you want to see loads of opinions on fuel economy then search "MPG" - there are tons of threads. Probably one of the most asked/discussed topics on the...
Do I get to say "told you so?" :p
Obviously quotes will be higher if unemployed. In the majority of cases you'd be less likely to be able to pay an excess in a claim, and less likely to be able to pay for the insurance in the first place especially if you're wanting to pay monthly.
I'm with the "I wouldn't be suprised" crowd. Nottinghamshire (?) police have a "recycling siezed criminal assets" agenda which has got them a Range Rover and a Golf R32 which. Was on one of the countless BBC/C4/C5/Dave police chase compilation shows. Makes a lot of sense tbh.
Would a windscreen that dark be road legal?
It's equally important for others to be able to see your lights as it is for you to be able to see other people. It's all about common sense. In reality there probably isn't a law saying that X percentage of your rear light output has to be visible...
Starting to wonder what little "detail" you haven't mentioned?
Catagory end-of-the-world postcode? Convictions? Points? Unemployed? History of being refused insurance? Demanding an excess of £0? Poor credit rating? Monumental mileage? Paying monthly?
Tried all the usual? Adding named drivers...

Not trying to be a grammar nazi, just I'd have been interested in what Mike, from a well respected company in the Clio world, had to say.
Did it "polish out" in the end?
