Great, have you added any camber at all to tuck the tops of the tyres?
Ive seen front tyres catching on the bumper mounts on 205 section rubber with 16mm spacers and et38.5 Turinis.
Just sat and read all of this. Tidy little car and a credit to all your hard work on it.
I've a 182 on Eibach Sportlines and Cup Turinis. I too am looking at spacing the wheels out.
Do you get any kind or rubbing on full lock or hard compressions?
Haha, that’s what I keep telling myself mate. It’s just a daily.
I’m hoping to get some time on it over the Christmas break to fit up some new parts. I’ve got so much to do to it and no bloody time lol.
There’s still a completely new suspension setup, arms, ball joints, TCAs, brakes blah blah...
Last part of my steering wheel assembly has arrived thanks to Volantech.
I asked for as discrete button panel as possible for the cruise control.
I’m not a fan of these if I’m 100% but I think it’s as least offensive as possible.
I can’t see the vids on my phone at the mo.
I swapped mine out from under the car, looks like you took the whole unit out.
I’m going to try the lead shot first and then try to reinstall my PTFE bearing now I’ve released a lot of the preload.
I've taken the PTFE lined original bearing and put it under the hydraulic press to take some of the preload out. I couldn't move it at all by hand previously and now i can force it around by hand. I'm hoping that's enough to keep the race tight but still allow the shifter the self centre in the...
I have been reading this for the last 2 days and don't know either party.
However i have been in a similar position to the Megane owner, however left with bits of my Impreza and the reason i broke it.
I salvaged whatever parts i could after owning it for 14 years. I delivered a well known...
I don't think people forget that so much, collector or not, its still £60 grand.
Its basically a £60k painting or ornament, as its money is in its miles and therefore unlikely to ever be driven anyway.
So a £60k potential financial investment and little more really... shame.
I appreciate its apples and oranges, but that's GT3 money.
I love a V6 but as a car to enjoy and drive, i cant help but think they're a bit crap.
Cool car, just not £60 grand cool lol
Tyres are almost new so not up for ditching those. Plus I don’t want to drop tyre size as that’s a backwards step in performance to my mind.
My concern is the fronts scrubbing on full lock.
Okay so my turn to join in the spacers chat.
Car is Cup packed, with et38.5 Turinis and Eibach Sportlines.
Tyres are 205/45/16 Michelin PS3.
My initial thoughts were PMS 10mm axles for the rear and 17mm hubcentric S for the front. However I hear the scrub at the front with this setup. I...
Thanks chap that’s very kind of you. I tend to agree with you ref springs/coilovers comment. I love the Turinis, just a bit bored of them in Black I guess. It’s worn these black Turinis since 2011. 😅
