Agree to some extent, but it would be nice to find out exactly which part is rattling. Perhap swaping out the bearings for some Delrin if that would provide enough damping? I don't know without looking.
Whatever PMS used in there originally. It was incredibly stiff, didn't self centre and wasn't very nice to use. Hardly any rattle at all both up and down gears, but was borderline uncomfortable to use it was so stiff.
I remember seeing them that were made for the GT2/R seats but as you say, seller went AWOL.
Perhaps i'll have to tray and source some Alcantara and get some made. If possible, would you be able to take some pics of the ones in the R and even a few measurements so that i may get some made?
Big...
I had the PTFE bearing in and it did indeed make it almost silent in every gear except 4th.
However it was so stiff that it did not inspire confidence across the gate. It would be possible when pressing on to go from say 3rd, miss 4th and actually get 2nd instead. These parts are made for...
Gents, where did you get your bolster protectors from?
I have a genuine Recaro one for the Clio but im after one for the Cayman, and the Recaro ones do not fit the Porsche bucket seats.
I’ve been fitting “race car parts” to road cars for years so this is nothing new to me.
However I have not fitted anything that has ever behaved this way.
I had my diff in the impreza solid mounted to the subframe, solid gear linkage, spherical bearings and full billet mounts everywhere.
Not...
Keeping on with this thread on my daily driver.
• PMS rear ARB -
Nice upgrade, no nasty noises or any negative effects. Makes the car far more adjustable on throttle mid corner and adds some much needed extra bite on the front axle. It’s pretty slippery out at the mo so looking forward to...

Zero response on the Group Buy here so far guys.
Any reason?
Anything i've missed?
Tempted by a wheel swap on my Inferno 182. Had the gloss black on there forever now and tempted by a colour swap on them to anthracite/silver.
This got me looking at anthracite 2118s, however i'm not sure if they look a bit pants on cars as high as mine.
I've no immediate intention to fit...
Group Buy on this now live guys & girls :)

Just to update this thread as I was to try some of these methods out. I
I got my shifter used as it was one of the first gen items. It had a PTFE lined shifter bearing and it was mega stiff. It wouldn’t self centre and wasn’t nice to use as it didn’t offer confidence across the gate when driven...
So one of the things I noticed was that my shifter was very stiff to operate and didn’t self centre as per the OEM shifter. This made the drive feel very solid. But the shift always felt a bit vague in location as you was never 100% sure in you location across the gate. It was lovely at low...
It will be a slightly flawed review because the bushes and diff were done at the same time. Certainly though even on the softest setting the tail is a lot more lively to throttle input mid corner.
I think it makes a significant difference to how loose or adjustable the rear of the car is...
I have to say in these slippery conditions of late, the diff is very noticeable. Times when you might pull out of a tight greasy junction and the inside wheel would slip, Now it just hooks up. The way it grabs for the apex on tight corners is very noticeable. I hope in the try in addition to the...
First class service from Nick @ Pure Motorsport today. Ordered yesterday pm, arrived this morning.
Also had a headlamp bulb die the other night so decided to upgrade to some new bulbs.
Phillips Xtreme Vision Gen2 bulbs for the dipped beam and matching Phillips Xtreme Ultinon LEDs for the...
