V6 air box on 182 question

I've trolled through threads on this already and know this fits, I've bought the air box but the question is..

1: Do I need a smaller elbow pipe as the OEM one already on seems too long, if I attatch the v6 box to it the intake port will be further down and won't go through the battery gap (I'm making no sense)
(Thinking Samco silicone Hose? Smaller than OEM?)

2: my current 182 intake pipe seems to be an oval shape? Do I need to source a bigger one to go round?

Apologies if I'm making no Sense as I don't undestand myself lol

It does fit on the standard pipe just gets wedged under the slam panel, I will see. if I can find a photo

Yep, standard elbow is fine, it just is a much tighter fit.
