4bar or nearly 60psi is seriously low. I assume it runs absolutely terrible?
A compression test will only tell you that you have low compression, it doesn't tell you where from. For that you need to do a leakdown test.
That will tell you if it's piston rings or valves.
Sorry should have said, this is on a 182 so I use a sandwich plate with the sensors in.
You could use one as well, it's fine to double stack the OEM with another.
PBS pads all round are the best budget option in my opinion.
I've ran the setup for 2 years now and don't see the need to change anytime soon.
Used to run CL's but the friction material kept falling off the backing plate. I put it down to cold wet use and them not liking it.

Not cheap at £210 though.
Finally rebuilt the rear calipers and fitted the braided lines I bought from the 'old' Proline...
The long line that runs across the beam went on fine, however the shorter near side has the wrong fitting on which I only realised after trying to get it to seal in the caliper many times 😠
