Alternator belt came off while driving!!

https://www.renaultpartsdirect.co.uk/parts/engine-parts/renault-clio-172-182-auxiliary-belt-air-con/ Or any 6pk 1662 belt if you need one quickly from a motor factors.

Alternator belt came off while driving!!

You can get the belt on it's own. Looks like the top alternator bolt has come out/broken.

Alternator belt came off while driving!!

If he does try and start the car, at least take the belt out the way. If that ends up round the cambelt you're knackered.

Alternator belt came off while driving!!

Could be this too. Either way, you're getting trailered home 😏

Alternator belt came off while driving!!

DON'T refit the belt. It's likely the tensioner has failed! P.S. you lucky lucky b*****d.

    Pressure switch power steering

It's only really there to raise the revs at low speed/idle. Whining noise is just the pump, they all do it but if it's particularly loud it'll be on its way out. Check your fluid level.

    Front wheel bearing removal

Louis did his hubs with it and never had a problem iirc. It shouldn't be removing not rusty stuff 🤔

I've never used Gtechniq wheel sealant.

    Alloy wheel sealant

Gyeon Rim is what I use. Meant to hold up better to heat too with it being used on track.

Timing - How often on track car?

A lot easier with the engine out yeah.

    What have you ordered? *Detailing*

Remember to do a quick test fire at the ground after you've stuck one of the nozzles in. I've seen them not click in properly and then fire out at the car. They'll put your window through or a big dent in the panel!

    Threaded Wheel Hub

Yeah you'll need the 60mm hubs if you're doing a complete swap.
  18. Mr Trailer Man

    Threaded Wheel Hub

Yeah just fit a new hub setup or just the flange itself but that will require a new bearing and having a big press. 172 hubs will fit a 182 as long as yours is not a cup packed model.

Oil temperature in Clio rs trophy 2017

Fitting the actual plate to the oil filter housing is easy. If you can do an oil filter change then you can fit one. You'll need some basic wiring knowledge to wire the power in though and also somewhere to mount the gauge itself, usually in a pod mount or cutting somewhere in the dash 👀...

    Gearbox STILL bloody leaking!

Not sure where that's leaking from then... @NorthloopCup

    Gearbox STILL bloody leaking!

There's no oil where it joins the block... Sure it's not your rear main seal on the crank?

Oil temperature in Clio rs trophy 2017

Fit a digital gauge and use a sandwich plate between the oil filter for the sensors.

I've got the extended reach ratchet and it's really handy for getting into places like that.

    High Compression on 1 cylinder

Some engines just are. Good valve seating and piston rings.

    High Compression on 1 cylinder

Anything over 190 is decent really. Yours is probably better than factory 😂

    Excellent compression that 200+ 👌🏻

    Power Tool Perverts

The 3/8" fuel ones have over 300Nm of torque, which is adequate for most jobs, even hub nuts as Matt demonstrated. If you're doing big bolts all the time, you'll want the 1/2" M18 tbh.
