I havent made one my self, couldnt be doing with all the painting etc for the sake of 3-5kgs, If that! there are easyer ways to loose wait for less £££ belive stream line carbon make a fiberglass bonnet, i think anyway :S

Yep, Like your self i thought how much diffrence can an ali bonnet make.. well i changed Ivan's off here's over from a standard & there was a fair amount of diffrence.. Fiberglass is the way forward for the £££ ;)
4 bolts off under the car, lift seat, remove spacers/vibration mounts ( as pictured ) re-instal seat.. Job done! although you "may" have trouble with the sliders now
They dont go wrong as such... the car just thinks the cat is broken/leaking as its reading to much Co2 levels coming through thats why you just keep it plugged in but reading fook all up in the heat shield ;)

Managment light only comes on if you plug the second lamba back in, tape/cover it up & whack it up in the heat shield, never had the light come on once in 8 months now.. second lamba is just for reading emissions, first one from the engine is the one you need, the older PH1 172's only came with...
The bits on the left next to the can are the x4 rubber parts & metal washers you need mate, If i remeber i will get a pick of the back ones installed on the car when i'm at work tomorrow
x2 Top mounts are currently on your standard shocks, You will use your standard topmount nuts aswel
The rears will need the parts that come with the kit but you may be able to use the standard rubber parts, not entirely sure though mate
And you may want the damping dial but you could just...
Lookin cool... erm hate to burst your bubble on the Ali theory but the Ali one will be the same heat as your engine bay = hotter inlet temps resulting in possible less power.. the Carbon has i high resistance against heat so therefore you would be taking in cooler temps to the block = more...
Should be a nice little project if your putting in as much work as your old one, the black one that got supercharged right? may be thinking of some one else's, was a while ago i remeber reading it :S
You guys say about rigging the milage but surely the current MOT cert will clear it up?
E.g... car has its MOT in 2008 - 60k on the clock.. 2009 car goes in for MOT & has 30k on the clock... surely the MOT tester will relise thats not right & even if he did & was bent surely he cannot just...

Serious note, think i may do some thing like that with the fuel rail gaurd, gotta get a cheap samco bend!
Looks like the fuel rail gaurd is gonna spend a night in some thing corrosive to strip it all back ;)
