Re: throttle body cleaned out but made problem worse?
Got a good fit on the TB? if the rubber o-ring gasket has a gap in it you will get a nice humming idle
Think so mate, give me a bell sunday morning ;), i gotta work tomorrow :dapprove:.... Any chance your driving through datchet tomorrow, me needs a splitter too :o
Small wood screws work better, self tapers are more suited to metal mate as the thread is so fine on them, said i dont mind fitting it for ya mate ;)
James
Sorted ;)
Decided to start it tonight, So, supported the engine & started to remove the mount.. to my horror it had completly snapped, old next to the newish one
Cambelt was looking good :)
So then i loosened off the gearbox mount & gave the engine a good f**king rock & bolted...
Only used when the standard ECU cannot be used, ie turbo, throttle bodies etc... normal Rstunner remap will work better on a mildly modified car, kit cost around £160-£180 delivered
Havent removed that one yet mate, just loosend the bolts on the mount & tried shifting it a round but no joy.. Will get the new mount on this weekend hopefully & go from there ;)
Cheers for the input guys, will slacken all the mounts & fit the new one then & hopefully it will sort its self out, hopefully sub frame is all good, looks fine from under the car, the whole car was cheap anyway - http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=361858
To be honest the mount...
Yep its well fooked, have got a whole new uppermount form a scrappy, well it looks brand new anyway :D , so will putting the new mount in just sort it? just seems like its not sitting right :S may just try fitting the new one saturday & see what its like then
So got a new upper engine mount for my Ph1 as a few know, it was currently going to be the run around but have now decided to turn my Ph2 172 ( 184.5 :rasp: ) back to standard form & modify the fook outta the PH1 for track use  ...
So heres the prob :
I've manged to unbolt the...
Re: PH1 172 Track Car, abit special
looking good ;), what splitter you using mate? Think i'm gonna turn my Ph2 from fast road/track back to normal & start getting my Ph1 172 along the same lines as you guys ;)
Right guys, prices have been confirmed between me & Tony, we belive the price to be very fair considering the time & effort thats involved.
So to cover your original bullets in carbon -
£50.00 - 1 pair
£4.00 - Postage ( royal mail signed )
Total - £54.00
We will need your original item...
Had a run with an R27 on the A30, was pulling on him up till triple figures... suppose 185bhp & around a ton of weight makes mine a little quiker than most 172's :o
One of the main known faults of the Ph2 172.... The PH1 172 also suffered from shocking build quality on the steering wheel, affraid the only propa fix is a new steering wheel or build fiberglass thumb grips yourself, theres info on how-to in the guide section ;)

LOL
Just the word "rapid" in the title i think says it all... if there was 25bhp to be had from £20 i'm sure the majority would be using this, i do love the way you will need to solder into the ECU :dead:..
Up-date... or maybe should be called down-date :(
Spoken to the guy, he now wants to go through insurance as he's been told his premium will only go up 20% next year which he said is only £80.. Surely though it would be put up for the next 3-4 years?
Anyway, he's still happy to admit...
4-2-1 manifold for improved torque, ideal since the clio sport block produces very little
4-1 For the rev-happy go-kart & strong "5k kick".. only flaw being fuel consumption
Its wet lay over the original item, so all orignal fixing are still used ;) no bonding etc, just un-clip the old ones & clip in the new ones, 5 minute job ;)
Me & Tony have just finnished these off, hoepfully have a few pairs up for grabs in the next few weeks, would just like to hear your views :)
Will point out these are already sold guys, so no pm's for these just yet please.. More will be done soon!
