no no no... cage weighs to much :o My argument against the cage is that the road going frame is in theory strong enough for road use/crash when it was the weight of a tank.. now that its gonna be 100+kgs lighter, hopefully, therefore if it was to roll there would be less weight on the pillars...

Yep you'll get the SERV & AIRBAG light come on :dead:... annoying at first but i've just got used to it after failing with the bloody resistor trick.. You should just be able to plug your seats back in mate a walla ;) And yes i know the PH2 looked sweeeet on coillys but apex springs will do ;)

I know mate, just kept thinking how gutted i would be if i pulled the ph2 apart on the track :cry: Ohhhhh this is gonna get some abuse on the track lol, will be serviced to my standards so hopefully will hold together lol Think its just gonna be for the track & sunday braknell cruise :evil:

Thanks for the input guys, sounds like it will need re-colouring as there are, what looks like cracks where you can see the colour has gone from the blue to white, will check & get pics tomorrow ;) Touch off subject, whats the best way to remove the actual covers? Thanks, James

*** UP-DATE *** Big change of plans since having some one smash into my 172 - :dead::dead::dead: Luckily he has admitted it all & its all getting sorted, but something crossed my mind that i never really took into account... what would happen if i wrote this off on the track...

I know :o.... Still got the Lardy Ph2, gonna be taking the coillys off it & just throwing some apex springs on it, will be the daily"ish" driver & the PH1 will just be my real full size go-kart :cool: You got any more of your Gray-motorsport de-cats left mate? Big relief mate, should be...

Its usally the jump from a 1.2 - 2.0.... when i first got mine i was foot down every where, you only learn from your mistakes.. this being an expensive one though lol, hopefully the guys alrite

LOL, she was not a happy bunny when i was thinking about it, then when she saw me & ivan going mental stripping it down on the weekend she was far from impressed, think she's gonna get a PH2 now any hows so its all good ;)

Well as a few know i bought my PH2 172 back in may, the plan was to semi strip it to make it a touch faster than standard, the end result was 184bhp & no seats - http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=340164, Goes bloody well & first hand i got a feel for how effective power - weight...

De-cat was one of my fav mods, on the 182's there a piss of piss to fit ;)... 172's on the other hand are a nightmare, specially if your doing it with out a ramp :dapprove: I found the decat really changes the way the car feels, the extra torque is very handy for below 5k & the rasp noise...

Hmmm... may get the stealth for it then, got a powerflow on my PH2, very happy with that but now i'm turning my PH1 into a track toy & converting the Ph2 back to standard.... "ish" lol Cheers for the pics guys ;)

Yep, purely has they dont look stelth on a PH2 so just wanna see how low they are on a PH1 James

As title pls guys :) Trying to decide on some thing for my track toy, really cant justify £400+ for the yozza.. what other good/cheap exhausts are there? heard about an OMP one but cant find any thing :S

Re: throttle body cleaned out but made problem worse? Havent been playing with inlet manifold/acoustic valve? Any of those can lead back to air leaks resulting in higher than normal idle
