Lol pep, If you want a hot hatch to go fast in a straight line then look into a type R, very thirsty compared to the clio & alot dont come with air con :dapprove: .. but the clio does do well, have caught a few people of gaurd that were in bigger cars not expecting it to move like it does.. like...

    PH2 Restore > Road Going Go-Kart

Re: ** PH2 RESTORE >> ROAD GOING GO-KART ** That would be ace mate, 6/8kg batterey would be very handy on the weight saving side of things indeed, seeing as it cost fortunes for just a few extra bhp loosing weight seems the best way forward & should improve fuel consumption & breaking power...

    1.2 16 valve oil change

Make sure you get a good fitting sump key, rounding it off is an expensive lesson... think its 8mm off the top of my head but its worth double checking, sump keys can be bought in halfords for under £10 & that gives you a set that will cover most cars :)

    Backfires after 5000 revs

Could be a number of things.. but start by trying the things that dont break the bank.. would look into spark plugs / HT leads / coil pack next.. or get down to any reno specialist & hook up your car to the computer & see what fault codes it comes up with

    Backfires after 5000 revs

Make sure you do a good 10-15 min run, they limiter is not removed untill oil is upto temp, not water.. but saying that limiter is around 6k not 5 so may need to be plugged into the computer to see whats wrong

I've found the CTR ariel's successor

Not too worry, looks ace & since its flexible its not too bad, just gotta be carefull not to take the paint off the cup spoiler :dapprove: Ace find though mate, first aireal that fits tidy to the base mount & performs!
  15. Jamesstone

    Your BHP guesstimates....

I thought the standard 172 engine was exactly the same as the cup, well minus the engine cover :rasp:.. then the only diffrecne with the 182 was the exhaust manifold..

I've found the CTR ariel's successor

If your car didnt come with a cup spoiler as standard it will, like mine :dapprove:

  27. Jamesstone

    Your BHP guesstimates....

May get down to a scrap yard, weigh the car then use the Fast chip Perfomance analyzer, that should be a fairly good reading, how much can i expect to gain from some thing like angel works matched inlets?
  28. Jamesstone

    Your BHP guesstimates....

Thats gay, hoped to be putting down atleast 180hp... it aint easy making more power.. on with the matched inlets!
  29. Jamesstone

    Your BHP guesstimates....

What are you pushing with all that then mate? i have read that alot of people were getting the 170bhp mark from standards on the rollers, some with bad spark plugs, dirty filters or just very un-well 172's etc were still getting 160hp+
  30. Jamesstone
