have "heard" vinegar is the best for stripping most shite of metal, although you would need to remove the inlet manifold, 20 min job, dont attempt it in the car as it will strip other bits too lol, leave it in a tub over night & wash it all of with something like carb cleanner in the morning...
Yep thats true, soon as i took it to 70 on the a30, still driving easy it went down to 46/47.. then got to the lights.. & erm cooper s wanted some fun.. 34mpg :o
Mine did, read my project post, did 15/20 miles down the m4/m25 at 50mph with an empty car with my foot just resting off the pedal, yes i was driving old man style but i was a happy boy to see that :approve: , never did that before the re-map & de-cat, only managed 43mpg :dapprove:

Thinking of removing the xenon washer jets, prefer the look of the cups with out them, will this then make my xenons illiegal? So any one know the part no. & if there just a straight drop in on a 172FF?

Sorry couz, totally forgot mate, well firstly took the dremel too it to remove the the raised part, filled the hole with abit of thin plastic then got myself some body filler.. let it dry.. wet & dry.. primer... let it dry.. colour added.. let it dry...

Well had planned to sort something out on the rear wiper side of things, so the idea to remove the wiper, smooth the pannel & colour code it was in the works, thought it would look fairly descent
So after a few hours work in between...
My girlfriends over that way mate, usally there every other weekend, havent got an obd, do have the fast chip that can clear fault codes & install the group N re-map at the same time :cool: , you would have to pay for the 2 unlock codes though

Dont worry i will be keeping the spare wheel in the shed so that in the event of a puncture or what ever i can call one of the family up to bring me the spare, never really travel more than 30 miles from home but if i do i'll throw the spare wheel in...

Thats the next mod for this weekend :) , although i'll be doing something a little bit diffrent compared to the grommet that just gets rammed in there to cover the hole, will get pics up as soon as its done ;)
