firstly, Phase1 cars do not have downstream lambda sensors (after cat).
As for the aftermarket exhaust, it depends what you buy i spose. Phase 2 cars run fine with the downstream lambda left out in 'free-air'. Or even unplugged. Some cars will show an emissions light though.
