Electrical fault light, check white connector, fuses and relays under the bonnet and then engine and loom earth and take it from there.

If it's mapped without lambda then chances are will struggle to meet emissions even with a normal cat.

Sniffer test, probably wont show anythong, Compression test, probably won't show anything, then leakdown test, again probably won't show anything as is always the way. Then borescope, if it's gasket you should see a lovely clean piston crown. Only ever known one gasket fail, passed all tests...

Would have to look at specs but fwir the 428 is sold as a fast road cam? They do a 420 (?) That I think they list as a group n cam? All depends what the spec of the car, what you want from it and how much money you want to throw at it. Messing with cam timing will generally produce some form...

original cable, p clip on the upper edge of the door and fit the cable through that, nipple holds it there and all you need to do is pull on the outer.
