Sniffer test, probably wont show anythong, Compression test, probably won't show anything, then leakdown test, again probably won't show anything as is always the way.
Then borescope, if it's gasket you should see a lovely clean piston crown.
Only ever known one gasket fail, passed all tests...
Would have to look at specs but fwir the 428 is sold as a fast road cam? They do a 420 (?) That I think they list as a group n cam?
All depends what the spec of the car, what you want from it and how much money you want to throw at it.
Messing with cam timing will generally produce some form...
nothing at home but that figure isn't bad, i wouldn't worry about it. what's causing you concern? just the figure or how it actually brakes when you're driving it?
original cable, p clip on the upper edge of the door and fit the cable through that, nipple holds it there and all you need to do is pull on the outer.
