After royal fail lost the first set, 2 weeks later they are finally here. Big improvement over the knackered old ones which still said the car was from Bournemouth.

Couple of changes for the ph1 since most of you will have last seen it.
Had the cup spoiler for about a month now. Its made a big difference to the back end.
Picked up a brand new set of 1.2s from work at a price i couldnt refuse. Brand new tyres on them, so the cups can have a rest from the...
Met up with sparklet¦ts and eikoorb today for a bit of bean sandwich action.
Photos arent great but they're the best we took.
Favourite shot of the day:

Bit of a nightmare day on friday. Me and boyo set out to change the oil on my car, fought against a welded on filter and in the process snapped a clip off an injector.
£90, a new injector, and much harrassing of pedestrians later, the car was finally sorted.
Took a trip to some woods, thought...
Was a good day out. Relatively chuffed with the results - may well be back to paul for a custom map however.

Got home today after work and noticed this.
Car has had its back facing a bush all day today so it must have happened yesterday.
Obviously there was no note or anyone coming into the store to ask whos car they had just hit.
Its not huge but its very noticable and its gone down to the plastic...
Need some new rear discs.
Cheapest i can find them with the bearing and ABS ring already on is £110 delivered.
They can be had for like £40 with just the bearing in them though (no ABS ring)
Considering i would be changing them myself is it a huge hastle to get the old ABS rings off and fit...
Cannot believe this.
Had big trouble a few weeks ago with the car randomly not starting.
It came out the garage last thursday with a new starter motor which cured things completley - until this morning.
Its now back to the same old trick of doing nothing when you turn the key - immobiliser...
As title really. Just developed tonight on a long drive.
From 3.5k-4k the car judders like hell and the power comes on and off sharply.
If you really nurse the throttle to take it past the 3.5k mark or drop down through the gears to above that point, its fine and revs as strong as ever but...
The car has gone in the garage today to get my starter sorted and a new aux belt and tensioner kit fitted, but i noticed on the way that something else isnt quite right.
The car is randomly imposing mental rev limits.
I pulled out to overtake someone up a hill after it went into 2 lanes...
My car has been doing this for the past 3 weeks and its now really annoying me.
Essentially, on a completely random basis (i.e. hot/cold/morning/night and in various loactions) the car will refuse to start at all.
On the 2nd stage of the ignition all the lights illuminate and then extinguish...
I've been after some new seats for a very long time. After getting hold of some new sparco subframes then picking up some sparco harnesses i finally got my hands on a nice new pair of fixed buckets complete with sliders.
Got them in last night. They're hugely comfortable and the lack of...
Pulled out of sainsburys behind you and sat at the lights behind for a short period until you turned off up to town. About 3pm
Im almost certain you went past me again in Calverly at about 8:20 as i was coming home from work but it was dark so you wouldnt have seen me.
I want a trophy. That...
Drove back from work fine. Came in, left the car 10 mins then went out to move it so dad could get his car off the drive and my car wouldnt start at all.
Turn the key to the 2nd stage of the ignition, and you can hear the fuel pump working, and the immobiliser light goes out but turn the key...
I've had my system a while now and im very happy with it.
One thing ive never got to the bottom of though is the speed of my CPU.
I've got an AMD Phenom X4 9950 Black Edition, which should be running at 2.6Ghz standard. When looking at CPU-Z however, i get given this:
And thats the same...
Was out today taking my friend to a garage to pick up his car about 50 miles away.
About 40 miles into the journey after a lot of motorway work, traffic backed up on an a-road to the point where i had to almost stopped.
Naturally, i dipped the clutch but then realised the engine had stalled...
When changing the rear discs on a ph1 172, do the new discs have to have a new bearing in them?
On my old valver the bearing was part of the disc, not sure what the setup on the 172 is though.
If they are indeed part of the disc, is it easy enough to reuse the old bearing/abs ring from the...
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1167984.htm
Chopped it in for a 911.
Probably one of the cleanest in the country for sale at the moment.
Was bought from BM main dealer and has always been properly looked after.
Not a mark on it, and i can personally assure any potential buyers that under my...
Ever since ive had my car (8 months+ now) the alarm has never worked. Ive got all the documentation to say it has been fitted properly when it first came off the boat from France but regardless its never worked.
Lock it on the remote, wait a minute or so for it to arm, and despite the led on...
Really fancy some new seats for the old bus but cant decide at all what to go for.
As always im on a budget and i've come across a few choices which are all pretty similar price-wise.
Really fancy a simple bucket and like the look of this but dont like the idea of loosing my rear seats anyway...
This turned up in the post this morning so i popped it on and have to say im well chuffed. Wasnt sure it would look right what with everything else inside being standard (at the moment), but it really is a massive improvement on the naff old wheel.
Ive also written a guide on changing the...
Stumbled across these when i was looking on some dutch car websites.
Really dont know what to think.
Kind of tacky but looking at the design of them i think they could well 'butch' up the front end of the ph1.
or without the LED indicators:
Wouldnt buy any personally but i have to...
Not had my new pc that long. Built it myself a few months ago but then immediately went back to uni so its only really got used in the past couple of weeks now im back home.
Anyway today i picked up an ASUS Xonar D2X sound card and an ati 4850 gfx card.
Had them in and all properly installed...
Right we'll ive finally had the chance to sort through the pics and put them togeather so here it is.
First off a warning, this is lengthy. I know text is boring but i've tried to explain some stuff and its all sort of worthwhile so give it a chance.
There are also a LOT of photos. Be warned...
Currently halfway through a pretty epic road trip in the clio through europe.
Drove all the way down to the italian lakes, starting at garda, on to como and up to maggiore where me and my driving partner/uni mate) are at the moment.
On the way down the St gotthard tunnel (one of the longest in...
Somehow avoided polishing the car since i bought it back in december, and seeing as its been amazing weather for the past few days here in sunny yorkshire (no, seriously) it seemed like a good time to do it.
Basic outline of the days proceedings:
AG shampoo wash
blade and towel dry
full clay...
Brushed past my wing mirror today on my way into work and the cap just flew off.
All the clips had snapped so i guess its been like that a while.
Did a quick search but couldnt find what i was after:
does anyone have the part number for the primerd mirror caps for a mk2 ph1?
or for that...
