Sadly it's the .86 turbine. But beggars can't be choosers. Hopefully the top end will be a little sweeter to make up for the extra bit of lag. I know you don't like the engines. But I can't work out why :dapprove:.
Shame.....you were such a nice guy, and now this :dapprove:

My mechanical...
Thought I'd put up a thread and show people what I've been doing with my MK1 over the past few weeks.
a little over a year ago, I'd recently changed from a MK1 Clio 1.8 16v to a Ph2172. I was unhappy with the way the 172 handled. The extra power was great, but I thought the ultimate grip was a...
you'll probably need a fitting kit or something from Ktec. Bolts will probably be no good for re-use.
182 is straight forward. 172 you can expect to bleed.
Got to go do oil+coolant on a 1.2 16v MK2Ph2
Thought I'd start a thread with some useful information for people wanting to service their own cars and also to find out if there is a bleed plug on a 1.2
1.2 16v D4F
Oil Capacity - 4.8 litres
Oil - 10W40 or 5W40
Coolant capacity - ? around 5...
do you mean low compression turbo or low boost turbo?
A low compression forged turbo setup is going to cost a LOT, and see figures as high as you want basically.
A low pressure turbo kit would be cheaper and give more torque than the ITBs.
As everyone is saying, it's got to be a personal...
steady now.
The CAT rattles. You sure this isnt exactly the same rattle that all 172 standard exhausts make? if so, it's definitely NOT the cat. I've got a 182 manifold and a decat pipe and it still rattles. It's the central silencer that does it. Winds me up a treat.
No point in ever replacing...
steve79 breaking a 172
erm. can't think of anyone else. What's wrong with the exhaust? get someone just to weld the f*cker up? And the cat....has it failed an MOT on emissions? or has the cat just got a hole? Weld that up too depending on where it is?
nice.
The under side could do with a little rub down and a spot of under seal.
Also, you'd be lucky to get it through an MOT with the wheels out that wide surely??
Then again, loosing those wheels could mean a little less traction.....and if it's faster than a dax......
looks a great laugh
my ph2 172 has this. it'd work with a 172 widetrack on a MK1 but you'd need to support the new middle bearing somehow. It's bolted to the block on an F4R
that WC.co.uk thread is an interesting read
