Having had a 197, we now have a 225 and a 182 Trophy.
I'd say the Meggy over the 197 mate. its a little more plush, much more power and more room. All down to what you want though mate.
I had a FF197 (Albi blue, Xeons, tinted rear windows, cabasse stereo) but put Eihbach springs on, it remapped and got the wheels painted anthrecite.
handled and looked much better.
Sold it 5 months ago and now drive a Trophy though;)
How about this Trophy. Had a K-tec Sports exhaust, remap and ITG panel filter since it was purchased in Jan'08. And made it in to PFC mag this month with the other CS.net boys.

Brakes are being done in January, hence not having too much spare for much else.
The Trophy isn't being used on the track at the moment, but I just want to squeeze out more power if possible,
After having a remap, ITG filter and Ktech Sports Exhaust fitted, I'm wondering what the next move should be;
1. ITG Maxogen
2. Ported Inlet Manifold
3. Uprated Cams
can only afford one btw;)

Had a 197 FF (remapped) and we now have a Trophy (mapped, new exhaust) and Megane 225.
Never been happier and don't miss the 197 at all.
personal choice though
I have one on my Trophy and simply love it. Not too loud but has a nice throaty sound to it.

I went from a 197FF (with Eibachs, remap and ITG filter) to a Trophy. Best move I made tbh. My wife drives a Megane 225 (which we traded the 197 in for).
